The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix stripped a major hospital of its affiliation with the church Tuesday because of a surgery that ended a woman’s pregnancy to save her life.

You may not see this among notable headlines today, but this actually happened today. I would like to hear your thoughts on this decision in Phoenix.

I feel like God has a plan, we never know if the baby or the mother will die. It's all in God's hands.

God looks at the heart of things. Did these doctors end a pregnancy to kill a baby or save the mother? There's a big difference between ending a pregnancy to save 'convenience' of the mother vs. saving a life. I would put in my two cents that a hospital didn't deviate from it's goal of saving life. The mother is probably in enough emotional pain as it is :- /
