Top Christian stories of the year

What news developments and faith-based movements impacted the Church in 2011? Today we’re talking about the Top 10 News Stories of the year. According to the Crosswalk.com site, the Arab spring, Pat Robertson’s comments on Alzheimer’s and Tim Tebow’s faith made the top stories, but what were the most impactful?

Plus in our first half hour, how will the environmental movement impact the Church in 2012?  Our guest, Dr. Cal Beisner of  the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation,  joins us to explain how the greening up of faith, education and the Church will radically change America and lead us to staggering results in our government. Dr. Cal was an instrumental resource and interviewee for the new documentary movie, AGENDA: Grinding America Down, a ministry in itself showing how end times prophesies are already playing out and have been for years. It’s one of those films every Christian should see and share.

The only portion of the show I caught today was when the Pearl’s book, “To Train up a Child” was mentioned. Please know that the way it was described gives a completely wrong impression about the book. It is the best child training book I have ever read and when my children were small, I used to purchase it a dozen at a time to give the book out to people. There has been an “anti spanking” group that has been out to get the Pearl’s for quite some time and it is a shame that their name is tied to any type of child abuse because their mission is quite the opposite.

I had the impression that your only information you had on the book and the Pearl’s ministry was the brief comments that the secular media used to describe the book. Hoping that if you choose to discuss this topic further, as Amy mentioned, that you will make sure to read the books and articles that No Greater Joy puts out.

    Thank you!

ps Absolutely LOVE the program overall!
