Which way is the Church headed?

Afternoon Traffic Jams near 'Halacha' Intercha...

When we understand who Jesus is and how His atonement mirrored the sacrificial symbolism of Jewish tradition, the meaning of the cross becomes clearer. But these days there is a movement within the Church toward a faith that has very little to do with our Hebrew roots, and even less to do with Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection. We’re heading AWAY FROM these biblical principles.

Today author and evangelist Jacob Prasch is our special guest. Jacob is the director of Moriel Ministries.

Jacob and Moriel are committed to the conviction that we are in the Last Days approaching the return of Christ and that contemporary events in the Middle East, the moral deterioration of society, the destruction of the environment, the globalization of the world economy, the rise of a pseudo-democratic federal Europe and, above all, the apostasy in the contemporary church, are all events of prophetic significance eschatologically.    Jacob is a Hebrew-speaking evangelist to the Jews and a Bible teacher elaborating on the original Judeo-Christian background and hermeneutics of the New Testament, and his emphasis is on church planting and missions. He and Moriel have also been a conservative voice for biblically-based discernment among moderate Pentecostals and Charismatics, particularly those involved in the Signs and Wonders movement.

That was very interesting, so much to learn. Is that true John Piper teaches replacement theology? So speaking about false prophets, can a true christian be decieved by them? Are the false prophets really saved?

“…in Christ God was reconciling THE WORLD to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.” ? (2 Corinthians 5:19).

“ …and through him to reconcile to himself ALL THINGS, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” (Colossians 1:20)

“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw ALL PEOPLE to myself.” (John 12:32)

“For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Saviour of ALL PEOPLE, especially of those who believe.” (1 Timothy 4:10)

“The next day he (John the Baptist) saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of THE WORLD!” (John 1:29)

“For the saving grace of God was manifested to ALL MEN.” (Titus 2:11)

"I will pour out my Spirit on ALL PEOPLE." (Joel 2:28)

"For God has shut up all in disobedience so that he might show mercy to ALL." (Romans 11:32)

“But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for EVERYONE.” (Hebrews 2:9)

"He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities." (Psalm 103:10)

"In the Lord ALL THE OFFSPRING of Israel shall be justified and shall glory.” (Isaiah 45:25)

"He will swallow up death forever and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from ALL FACES;" (Isaiah 25:8)

" My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, and ALL FLESH shall bless His holy name forever and ever." (Psalm 145:21)

Scripture is crystal clear: ALL humanity was reconciled to God through Jesus atonement.

Prudence, the entire body holds to or is subject to heresy of some sort. So can we be deceived? Absolutely!

1 Corinthians 11:19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

Their is only one defense and that is searching the Scriptures for them selves:

Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

This is the spiritual weapon refered to in 2 Corinthians.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.

This is also the full armour of God spoken of to the Ephesians Church
    Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand . 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

This is also why the Corinthian Chruch was admonished to test or prove everything that is said so that all may be admonished. It is hear where we begin to lay aside the word of God in our gatherings.

1 Corinthians 14:24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: 25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. 26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. 31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? 37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. 38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. 39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. 40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

    What is a false prophet?
A false Prophet speaks on thier own volition. They will seek to flatter others, misrepresent scripture, or cause any to mistrust the scriptures and this they do by exalting themselves and through cunning words make merchandise of many. All of these practices are being taught in the seminaries today!

So this saying in Jeremiah holds for the Church today.

Jeremiah 5:26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. 27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. 28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. 29 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? 30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; 31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

    and this in Isaiah 56

10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber . 11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Can a false prophet be saved? That depends on God doesn't it. Paul himself was bent on blasphemy of Jesus Christ and the destruction of the church and it is because of this that his zealousness exceeded that of all of his contemporaries.

Therefore Pray for your enemies and Study, Pray and Study, Pray and Study.

If we are God's House His holy Temple we are called to be a house of Prayer full of Salt and Light! So may our prayers spring forth truth and life!

May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ bless us through His Holy Word which He received of the Father, grant that we repent of our selfishness and selfcenteredness, to the end that we would live no longer for ourselves but rather lay down our lives for one another prefering one another over ourselves. May the Father of Lights in whom there is niether variance or shadow of turning grant this request in order that we may Glorify His son in following in His example. May the Father grant that the Holy Spirit work in us mightily to this end.

May the Peace of God be upon you all.

    Amen!

    Arno,

I know I will not be able to convince of this.

Universalism is a heresy. Reconcilliation is a restoration of Lordship not of a perfect relationship, which, others who share your beliefs would hold to.

Revelation 5 Christ through His redemptive work was found worthy to open the seals to lose the scroll to bring judgment upon the disobedient and judge the earth. Who are the disobedient? Those who refuse God's righteousness found only in Jesus Christ and His attoning work on the cross and seek to follow after a righteousness of thier own invention.

To simplify: All of Creation is subject to God's judgement. All will submit to His rule there is no refusing God. Even Satan is subject to God and does nothing without granting the action. Like Satan others also will submt from a rebellious heart and this will not go unpunished.

God's mercy, is indeed extended to all, since all have sinned and the wages of sin is death, which, ultimately results in final and eternal destruction in the Lake of Fire where those who are not written in the Lambs Book of Life will be cast. This is our due punishment now. God would be just in destroying everything now for all have rebelled. Because of Adam sin has entered the world and is since been spread to all men.

In God's forbearance spoken of in 2 Peter 3 he is allowing the wicked to continue because some of those are still yet to come which are His and have not repented yet recieving the righteousness of God revealed in Jesus Christ. There is a final number of those who will come to Him. Romans 11 How can this be?

It is God Himself who changes our hearts and minds transforming us into a willing slave/servant of Jesus Christ. We do not come to him on our own that is impossible because we hate the light. Nor are all chosen only some. Romans 9

John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe . 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved . 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved . 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest , that they are wrought in God.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Peace to all isn't what the scriptures teach rather it is subjugation of all creation and regeneration of some in every tongue tribe and nation. There is rebellion found even after Christ reigns on earth for a thousand years for the Dragon is loosed an once again he leads the nations against Christ Jesus and His annointed ones.

All of these things are denied in your belief that all are made right in God's eyes, all have peace because the work of Jesus Christ covers all.

No it is extended to all but all will not receive it save for a remnant. This is the teachings of the scriptures.
