Gluttony: The real source no one wants to talk about

When you compare the Body of Christ in the West to the Body of Christ in most other parts of the world, there is a rather large discrepancy.  Quite frankly, we are a gluttonous Church, obese with  blessings that we claim for ourselves every minute of every day.

We’ve all seen what it looks like. And while many church leaders and book authors will talk about the cure, there aren’t many who are talking about the real source of gluttony. We’re going to the Word of God today to see what He has to say about it.

You have to check out dopimine and its affects in the body. It allows us to be able to wholly commit to something.

It also points to the nessesity of fasting so that it is Praying to God and Reading His word and fellowship in His name that replaces everything else as a trigger for its production which our body craves.

It is amazing to me who fearfully and wonderfully we are made by the Creator of everything including every life that is formed in the womb being knit together by His hand. Equally amazing is how this same architecture can be used for good or evil depending on who is in control.

This is illustrated in Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

If we are in control we are instruments of evil following our feelings, cravings and every desire we can conceive. see Galatians 5

:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before , as I have also told you in time past , that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

If God is in control we are instruments of righteousness operating according to the truth of God's word and that is by the Holy Spirit of God. See Galatians 5:22 This results in Love and is evident in our joy, peace, gentleness, patience, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.

God does restrain evil in people in the first case to prevent us from being as wholly evil as we could be, where we become our own God and subject to no authority. People in this situation cannot glorify God because they think they are choosing to do the perceived good works. In reality it is God who works in us compassion and care for one another, where otherwise we would only have concern for ourselves. This is why it is impossible to please God without faith.

for an illustration I have a mental picture of a waiter covered head to toe in used dripping wet menstral rags, carrying great looking food to your table. Would you eat the food he brought, or would you throw up at the site and thought of it?

In the second case is only possible through being born of the Spirit of God, The Holy Spirit, the Spirit which Testifies to the Son of God being born in the Flesh as a man and being without sin was made a sin offering for us to Saticfy God's wrath for our sins. This same Spirit testifies with our spirit we are God's children that we need not anyone to convince us we are forgiven and made righteous in God's eyes. Being born of the will fo God and not of man.

This then becomes the new creature, the man who by the power of Spirit of God can resist the flesh and do God's good perfect and pleasing will. But the man isn't by himself in this. It was Christ Jesus good pleasure to make us a part of His body of which He is the head. A body which is intended to work together for the edification of all so that it may mature and truely become one body unified in Faith of the One God in Christ Jesus walking in all holiness in the Holy Spirit. A body where all parts are interdependant on the other parts where no one part is exhalted above another.

This is not the Salvation taught by western Christianity nor is it practiced in our gatherings and this is why we are sick and defeated by sin to this very day. We love our individuality and we love to follow the desires in our members instead of mortifying them in the Lord.
