Exclusive interview with Franklin Graham

Today I was able to catch 10 minutes with Franklin Graham, who will be in Northeast Wisconsin next weekend for Rock The Lakes, a free outreach event to show Christ to a generation who may not know Him, or perhaps haven’t been  taught that God’s Word from cover to cover is true.

Listen here as Franklin covers why Rock The Lakes is an important event, talks about Samaritan’s Purse, and offers an update on his 93-year-old father, Billy Graham, who isn’t slowing down!

Our station, Q90FM, is a sponsor of the event, which includes Skillet, The Afters, Michael W. Smith and more.

    A word of caution:

People at this event will be asked to make a decision for Jesus Christ. Some of these will come forward and make a confession of faith and will be asked to say a prayer and sign a card. Some will be told if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord you are saved because no one can confess Jesus is Lord accept by the Holy Spirit.

When Paul wrote that to the Romans that confession the Jesus is Lord, would mean real persecution and the people who accepted Christ in that day said let it come even if I have to die.

That conviction to stand for Christ against whatever opposition would come that isn’t found in our strength or in our will but by God himself and that by the Holy Spirit. So it isn’t the confession that marks a believer but the conviction to follow in His steps and lay down our lives for one anothers sake that does.

Where our hearts anthem is: To live is Christ and to die is Gain! We are not greater than our master, if the world hated him they will hate us to.
