One Response to “How wide is that merging gate?”

It would be good to talk about what happened to believers in Christ after Rome instituted the Lord's Supper when they refused to accept a wafer and cup of wine as the body and blood of Christ.

Those followers of Christ died by the thousands, by burning at the stake, thrust through with a sword, boiled in oil, drawn and quartered, cut to pieces. Obviously these people didn't die in vain and it was testified of those who perished that many were singing praises to Christ Jesus up until they perished. I hope by God's grace and by his power working mightily in me that I may be found as faithfull as these so called heretics who went before me who would not receive Christ as a crust of bread.

May God be Glorified. How can we will God to do anything, are we God?

No what it says in His word. Not Even for Christ.

Luke 22:41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down , and prayed, 42 Saying , Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

    John 15:7 KJV
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

God will most certainly strengthen us as we have need as we walk in accordance with His will as the Father did for the Son who is Christ Jesus. Likewise, if we do not, we can expect to be handed over to our own foolishness to the destruction of the flesh which is always waring with the Spirit.
