Why watchmen need to shower

As Christians, we want to make sure that we are grounded in the Word of God, and aware of what has happened in the Body of Christ as the Truth is continually thrown under the post-modern bus.  But as you become aware of these disturbing things, as you research, as you listen and learn, it can get dark. We can become so filthy as the scales fall off of our eyes and our hearts get broken by the apostasy creeping into the Bride.  We want encourage you to shower in His truth daily, in His Word and in prayer.

We know that the great delusion that the Bible warns us about that will take place prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ is already underway, and it’s happening in the body of Christ. Jesus Himself warned that great multitudes will fall away from Him, as people follow a different Jesus, a different Gospel and a wide path that leads to destruction.

It’s subtle, and a growing number of people are sounding the alarm. Every once in awhile, a pastor will be that watchman on the wall! Joining us on our program is Pastor Joe Schimmel.

One Response to “Why watchmen need to shower”

I do not say this out of pride but rather dismay. It seems fitting to me, that as men seek after the desires of their own hearts that they become ensnared by those very things they seek. We become just as the object we worship. So it is we remain vain dumb blind having our understanding darkend though our disobedience brought on by disbelief. Ephesians 4:18 KJV Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

But God being zealous for His bride and His Holy Name cleans her and strips away her idols (which is adultery) and exposes them to her for what they are so she will cast them off not to take them up again. He only does that for His Bride, the rest will remain under a delusion imposed by God because our very nature rejects the truth and the righteousness of God, who is Christ the incarnation of God and making one of our own design instead, shaped after our own will and desires. Proverbs 18:1-2, Romans 1, Proverbs 1.

So it is none can save themselves, God must invervene and remove the delusion and that by the person of the Holy Spirit, who Is God being also One with God as is Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit is who reveals the Truth and testifies of Christ Jesus and the high price He Himself paid as a result of our sin and unrighteousness, in order that we may be spared from God's wrath against sin, and brought into His presence by His own righteousness by His own Blood because as His Bride He covers us. Philippians 3:7-10

If we shower then let us shower in this: that righteousness is found in God alone and our hope should be that we may be have a share in the privilege of suffering for righteousness sake even to the laying down of our lives for His namesake. That like Christ who endured the Cross despising the shame for the joy that was set before Him namely the Heavenly reunion, so to with us to cease living for the sake of ourselves in this life but unto Christ who is Lord over all. May God grant this for His bride! Hebrews 12, 1 Peter 4

    Amen
