Evangelical Catholicism and end times

monstrance with seals, showing Jesus

If you haven’t heard of the “Evangelical Catholicism” movement, you’ll want to read on to understand the meaning of the term and how it will be used in these last days to bring about and shape a one-world religion. Lighthouse Trails Blog is urging Bible believing Christians to understand the true meaning of “Evangelical Catholicism,” also known as the New Evangelization Program:

A new report shows how the Roman Catholic agenda is to win the world to the Eucharistic Jesus in order to set up the “Kingdom of God” on earth.  The Eucharistic Jesus requires a Roman Catholic priest and the process of transubstantiation. This “Jesus”, which actually is nothing more than a wafer, is placed into a monstrance (container) and worshipped and adored. This whole process will play a significant role in setting up a One World Religion in the name of Christ that prepares the way for the antichrist.

If the Catholic Church cared about Christ they would obey His commands and abolish their idolatry and man made doctrines taught as from God. Hypocrisy at its finest.

  2. The problem with catholic evangelization is that catholic doctrine on so many points is not Scriptural. The term sola scriptura can be abused but regarding the work and aims of the Roman Catholic Church the Protestant Reformation is alive and well. And thank God we live in a country where no one needs to feel sugared up about catholic claims of supremacy. Protestants would beg to differ about an invitation to join the Roman Catholic Church as a chance to get to know Jesus better. I pray that the RCC never return to its hideous past, the hideous present is bad enough. Stop following men and open your Bible and read it with fresh eyes. You will see that there is no Biblical basis for the papacy, the Roman Catholic priesthood, indulgences, the inquisition, Mary as a sinless being while she was on earth, transubstatiation, or any of a number of other teachings well meaning Catholics often accept without question. As a Christian, we are called to love, and I feel sorry for my Protestant brethren who have refused so often to speak out against the false teachings of the Catholic Church in areas where catholic majorities might make that a risky proposition, but no more. The very same reasons Martin Luther posted on the door five hundred years ago remain relevant today, and I encourage all of my Protestant brethren, in love, and in that liberty which God inalienable grants to stand up for the truth they know. The times are short and the Catholic Church could shortly and surprisingly lurch into its prophesied apostasy from its own conservative tradition. Speak now brothers, or forever hold your peace.

The New Evangelization is NOT about bringing about some one world religion. It is about bringing everyone closer to Christ and helping people to realize who he is, what he did, and to develop a personal relationship with Christ. For too long people have been forgetting about what it means to focus on Christ and to develop a deep relationship with him. THAT is what the new evangelization movement is about.
