Sometimes a good old-fashioned attention-getter is often what it takes to wake Christians up to the fact that time is short for sharing the hope we have in Jesus and the Gospel, as the world around us grows increasingly hostile to Christ’s message. Green Bay Wisconsin Christians are taking action in their outrage over how Saturday Night Live recently portrayed Jesus as a murderous, revenge-seeking psychopath in a skit called “Djesus Uncrossed,” as a movie trailer on February 16:
This Sunday, March 10, a gathering of Green Bay area Christians will meet in front of the NBC26 studios as well as several other locations for a peaceful but visible prayer vigil. The group says it wants to raise awareness of the blatant discrimination against the Christian faith that has become commonplace in Hollywood and the media industry.
Many in the media do believe SNL went “too far” as the Los Angeles Times opined whether this was the “most blasphemous skit in ‘SNL’ history.”
The group is hoping to send a message to those corporate sponsors who advertise on NBC and particularly SNL. Those companies include K-Mart, Sears and J.C. Penney. The American Family Association reported in a press release that Sears and JCPenney will pull their ads from the show.
Here are the details on the Green Bay gathering:

I know what I believe. And I will die knowing Jesus Christ died for my sins, and although I may not be perfect, I am FORGIVIN. I feel pity on the people reject Christ. I would rather live my life as though there is a God, and die to find out there’s not, than to live as though there isn’t, and die to find out, there is!!
Excellent comment, Vicki. I feel the same.
The time for the protest is right when most Christians are just getting out of church and there is a long travel time…Please, consider a different timetable next time…..Thanks,
This violent anti-christian video was shown again the week of the bombings and carnage in Boston. It is totally abhorrent. The show and the actors involved are shameless in the face of a tragedy that defies words. There is nothing remaining in them of human decency. Where was the Christ they mocked? He was in the persons of the people maimed and killed and in those who risked their lives to save them. What did SNL do that was heroic? The show, its producers and its actors are cowards who hide behind their own fears by laughing at a religion that preaches peace and love for all mankind.
