The New Order

A streetsweeper makes its way through the crow...

We seem to be waking up to the fact that there is a “new order.” That things are markedly different in our nation than they were even 30 or 50 years ago. As those who follow Jesus and who claim Him as our God and Redeemer, we need to look at this from a biblical worldview.  How do Christians navigate a government spiraling into debt, a people turning away from God and the morality flying out the window?

Regarding the roots of marxism in public schools, the documentary "Indocrination" is a must watch. It is wonderfully made and was a big help with the decision to homeschool. Please Please watch this. It's available for free on Youtube.

Much was said today. Many true things were declared if we have ears to hear it and the fortitude to accept it.

We as a nation have put much confidence in the flesh, but our nation learned it from the church, which, even when this country was conceived was already very worldly, very much enamored with great men. Thinking that they were the new Israel brought into the land of promise for the people. The one to whom all the nations of the earth would serve. We still have this view. We think ourselves great.

Why do we esteem men? Why do we think they/we are better than what the scriptures declare of them or of us? Why do we place confidence in institutions built by efforts of men and seek after honor of one another and not rather seek that honor that comes from God only?

To such a lot God declares how can you have faith in God? How can you believe me when you will not accept the testimony I declare of all that I have made.

We think we posses goodness, we make ourselves a stench in the Lord's nostrils, in vain we lift up our hands, in vain we do worship Him.

We say we believe but we have not received Christ at the exclusion of all else. We hang on to our idols because they are precious to us. We refuse to stand and be counted. We say our faith is our secrete none needs to know of it.

The world around us is perishing and we don't even give it a thought. As long as I can be entertained by the world we reason within ourselves how bad can it really be?

Lord God maker of Heaven and Earth, please help us to really know if we are yours or if we are self deceived believing what others have taught us of salvation and posses not your Holy Spirit, and where our Fear of You is nothing but a precept taught by mere men.

Lord God break our hearts over our complacency and our duplicity in our minds, that we may repent and seek you for forgiveness and may we not take that mercy for granted and treat lightly the one who died for OUR mutiny against you, Who rose again and has passed into the heavenlies, the Holy One, the Lord of Glory, whom WE crucified you have made Him our judge. He is coming back to render to each our due.

Lord turn our hearts to you, while you may still be found! Before you turn away from our cries even though we seek you early and laugh at us in our destruction we have brought upon ourselves. Save us Lord God from ourselves.

May the Son of the Living God be to us our refuge and hope and He alone our peace and our joy. May we see all else for what it really is, vanity for even all men are vanity.

Christ Jesus, The Son of God, the Word Made flesh, You Who are from everlasting to everlasting, being the express image of the Father God, who stepped out of heaven to be born of a virgin to become our servant and being found in fashion as a man (for it was the first man Adam by which sin entered) you humbled yourself and became obedient taking our sins upon yourself, becoming sin for us, declaring yourself as one of us, numbered among the transgressors you stood in our place took God's cup of wrath to your own lips and took it to the bitter dregs until it was finished. You died in our place the due penalty for sin and in your death you purged yourself of our iniquity and made an end to it all of it. If it were not so if some debt remained there would have been no resurrection. Your resurrection was the chosen sign to demonstrate to all that God has declared of Christ to be His only Begotten Son as LORD of All and Judge of ALL.

You did not do this for our sakes though we are the benefactor of this wonderful act if we believe. This curious work you did, it was for your own Glory for your own Namesake because mankind has caused your Great Name to be profaned in all of creation so in your marvelous work your curious work you have declared your Just Judgement of Sin and have purchased men unto yourself having redeemed them from the grave by your own precious blood, tasting death for them. So by Faith in Christ Jesus we are found justified. He did not die that we should live the rest of our time onto ourselves but that rather we walk as He himself walked giving us an example that we should follow in His steps and no longer live for our own sakes but instead live for the sakes of one another.

    Oh God be praised!
