Islam, ISIS & National Security

President Trump has vowed to destroy ISIS. But will that really do anything significant in ending the scourge of Islamic terrorism? Or will the next radical organization simply step up and fill the void?

The truth is we are not merely fighting a minority of radical terrorists…we are fighting against an ideology bent on world domination and elimination of any religious beliefs that do not submit to the false god Allah.

Ryan Mauro of The Clarion Project joins us to discuss ISIS and president Trump’s new “travel bans”. He will also contrast the “Woman’s March” in our nation with the strong women fighting ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

The Three Stages of Islamic Jihad

America and the Christian churches in it are rapidly reaching a crossroad when it comes to Islam. Islam in its teachings calls for world wide domination and submission to Allah, the false god of Islam. Unbelievers, those Islam refers to as “infidels,” either convert to Islam, face very punitive restrictions, or sometimes they are put to death. This is the “jihad” taught in the Quran. Jihad has three unique stages, each one building power upon the other. As Muslim presence increases, pressure is applied on a nation and its people to conform or face dire consequences. Elijah Abraham, a former Muslim and now born-again believer joins us this morning. to explain what’s happening in the states and what Christians can do.

A Surprise From Hollywood?

This morning we cover a fascinating story from World Net Daily about Hollywood actually planning to release a movie about how a homosexual walked away from the gay lifestyle and became a Christian pastor. And it is not some low grade production with “B List” actors. It stars a couple of prominent actors–one of whom is an open homosexual and activist for the movement.

In our first segment we check in with William Murray of The Religious Freedom Coalition, looking at the plight of Christians in Egypt and Nigeria, along with how Christians are being left behind in the wave of immigration hitting Europe and America.

Controversy Within The Southern Baptist Convention

Today, we cover a controversy within The Southern Baptist Convention over the building of a Muslim mosque in New Jersey. A city has not approved the building of this mosque, but the Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board has filed an amicus brief with the court supporting a lawsuit against the city on behalf of Muslims. One pastor has resigned from the Mission Board citing a contradiction between the Board’s action and its mission of spreading the gospel.

In our first segment, we check in with Tina Griffin of Counter Culture Mom. Tina will point out some good role models for young people to look up to, and we’ll also talk about the need for Christians to make a statement to Hollywood by boycotting much of what they offer at the box office.

Islam & Spiritual Warfare

Everyone wants to know what President Trump is going to do about the spread of radical Islam in our nation and around the world. Have we ever asked ourselves what we can do about it?

Do we see this as a human or spiritual war? Are we trying to fight the spread of an anti-christ religion with human weapons, leaving behind our spiritual weapons like prayer? Elijah Abraham joins us this morning to discuss Islam, prayer and spiritual warfare.

How Is American Christianity Different From Biblical Christianity?

It seems there is growing confusion between biblical Christianity and American Christianity. One is eternal truth; the other resembles more of a religious system featuring a doctrine of convenience, works, prosperity, and man’s traditions.

Several missionary associations go around the world sharing the Christian faith–but are they spreading biblical Christianity or a watered down American version absent of power and truth?

Today, we welcome back Elijah Abraham to the program.

The Gospel, the Church, and the Supreme Court

In the book of Ephesians, Paul tells us our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. He encourages us to put on the full armor of God for this battle for the eternal souls of men.

Every effective army is comprised of strong focused leaders and committed followers. As we see the church in America being generally ineffective in sharing the gospel and making true disciples for Christ, we have to wonder if the problem is weak leadership; disinterested, uncommitted followers, or both. We cover an article by Peter Heck in our second segment titled, “Maybe the Problem isn’t the Church… Maybe it’s You.”

In our first segment we talk with author Preston Condra of watchman.org about his new book By Which We are Saved: Sharing the Gospel with Confidence. Why are we failing to share the gospel of salvation with our friends and families?

Deception is Rampant, but What is Truth?

In John 18:38, Pontius Pilate asks Jesus one of the single greatest questions of the entire Bible: “What is truth?” That question is just as important today. It might seem like a very simple question, but when we see how the definition of truth has been twisted and redefined these days, it is vital to clarify from the Word of God.

We are also seeing the subsequent trouble our culture and the church is in, so there is no greater challenge facing us today than to define truth as God defines it instead of following the world and changing the definition to feed our flesh.

Cindy Hartline of Love for the Truth Radio joins us this morning to discuss truth and how it has been redefined to fit the agenda of sinful man.

In our second segment, David Fiorazo has our weekly Media Watch segment as we help you see the clever deception of secular media and how they attempt to indoctrinate people into their agenda.

Sliding into Humanism, Moral Relativism

I wrote my latest book, The Death of Christian Thought, to warn Christians how the dangerous lies of Humanism were infiltrating the hearts and minds of an increasing number of professing Christians, leading many away from God and toward eternal damnation. This morning in our second segment we cover a recent study that shows just how bad things are getting as the spiritual beliefs of younger people stray further and further away from the truth of God and His Word.

In our first segment we talk with Pastor Randy White about a very interesting book by Dave Breese titled Seven Men Who Rule the World from the Grave. We’ll look at seven men whose anti-Christian beliefs and philosophies continue to strongly influence people and society long after their deaths.

Who’s in Charge of the ‘Kingdom Now’?

A crucial doctrine of Christianity is the eventual return of Jesus Christ to judge all men and establish His everlasting Kingdom. Sadly, Bible prophecy is ignored in many churches so Christians are left to their own to try to understand that glorious day when our Lord returns to vanquish evil.

One question I love to ask professing Christians is this: When Jesus returns what does the world look like and what does He do? If their answer involves us, human beings establishing universal justice or cleaning up the world of poverty and pollution, then I know I am dealing with someone who embraces what is called “Dominion theology.” This is the idea that when men clean up the earth Jesus returns and we simply “hand over the keys” to Him so to speak. This is a dangerous form of Humanism, elevating man and discounting God.

One arm of Dominion Theology is called “Kingdom Now” theology and this morning we are joined by Pastor Andy Woods who has written several books discussing this movement.

What is the Problem in the Church?

In Matthew 16:18, the “church” is first mentioned in God’s Word as Jesus tells Peter that his revelation ‘Jesus is the Christ’ is the rock upon which Jesus will build His church. And “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Jesus established His church to spread the gospel and equip Christians to walk as His disciples, living as he lived in obedience to the Father. The Christian Church should starkly contrast secular culture and be light in an increasingly dark world. But is this happening in America? A strong argument can be made that the church is increasingly ineffective in transforming lives and the culture we live in.

Who is to blame for this problem? Is it church leadership failing to equip the believers? Or is it the people they lead? People who want enough Jesus to be saved, but not enough to be transformed into living a life holy and pleasing to God?

We explore these questions this morning with Dave Wager of Nicolet Bible Institute.
