I don’t understand why people want to attack pastors and churches who are trying to show God’s love to those that don’t know it yet. Is it not enough that the world is filled with so much hate that we, Christians, need to also criticize and tear down each other? I go to NP and happen to love being a part of it. I have never been more in love with God or with a church’s efforts before. I like that I am a member of a church that wades into the messiness and tries to actually love instead of judge. I have a Bible and know what God says about sin. I am not perfect, but thanks to my church, my small group, and my pastor, I am striving to be the salt and the light that God asks of his followers. We all fall short of the glory of God, and to be honest, I am weary of those who condemn me for being a Christian and now those that don’t think I am Christian enough. Thank God that my identity is in Him, and He is the only one I will need to answer to. Until that time I will continue to worship God and serve others.

I thank you for your show and all the topics discussed here. I am glad to hear Jonathan Cahn on again. I have been following him for some time and I want to share with you a site with his teachings given to his congregation on the Harbinger. There are a total of 8 teachings on this site given by Jonathan. Maybe you might consider getting permission and airing these messages so people won’t get confused on where he stands in regard to replacement theology. Just a suggestion. Thanks, Cindy

Yes the bible certainly does warn, and warn and warn and warn starting in Genesis.

Genesis 6
5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

That brought on the flood in which only 8 souls were saved,

and what of after the flood did things get better?

Not at all.
Genesis 8
21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done . 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease .

We are all of us wicked and evil and it is only the Spirit of Grace acting in the world preventing it, preventing any of us, from being as bad and self destructive as it and we could be. This is true for all of creation saved and unsaved, God’s mercyies are truely new every morning for all. So It is God who prevents anyone from walking into utter ruin brought on by sin’s destructive behavior. Behavior that is bent on self promotion and self interest in every way shape and form exihibited in the self will.

This is counter intuitive. If I am looking out for my own interest how is that destructive to me? One thing is I do not know what is in my best interest. I can think drug abuse, sexual sins, coveting what others posses, are all good for me because I perceive that they bring pleasure and do not consider the ill effects. And then there is the allure in us for what is forbiden to do what is forbiden to our own ruin. Then there is the over all picture where everyone working in their own interest will ultimately devour one another.

So this is our Command from God and one that is not much observed by any so called church of the west.

Galations 5
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would .

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before , as I have also told you in time past , that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

The Rise of Homosexuality Fullfills the Words of Christ !!

Christ said that “as it was in the days of Lot, so it will be at the time of the end” Luke 17:28.. The story of Lot in Sodom contains the verse that ALL the men of the city came out to have sex with the men staying at Lots house Genesis 19 : 4 ..Homosexuality was totally accepted by the culture of Sodom, just before God completely destroyed it.

The Church is not going to convert the world before Christ returns.

Really appreciated this insight about IHOP. Acquaintances of our joined the group and gradually disassociated themselves from the “normal” church life altogether, and ending up living off the financial help of family and friends. Little or no ethical accountability. I experienced a related spiritual issue some years ago about the “Absalom” spirit that seems akin to the issue you raised here Amy.

AG-man – Let’s see what the Word says about Grace in Titus 2:11-15:

v11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
v12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
v13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
v14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
v15 Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

So, from the verses above, I know that if God’s Grace is active in a person’s life (“grace teaches us”), there are certain things that are characteristic:.

– Deny ungodliness and worldly lusts
– Live soberly and righteously in the present age
– Look for Jesus’ return
– (from v14) Be aware of His Work on the cross and how he sought a pure and holy people

Do we see the teaching of grace working in Oprah’s life … no. In fact, we see the exact opposite.

Could it be that most of the church is chanting “I’m saved by Grace through Faith!” and they don’t even understand what grace is? or faith, for that matter?

Here’s the deal … most of us were doomed Gentiles, and through the grace of God, He allowed us a chance to become part of His chosen people Israel. Therefore, if we are saved, we need to walk in the Fear of God, not the adoration of Obama and Dr. Phil.

Your argument is that Oprah is saved by Grace … she doesn’t walk in the Fear of God, you can see it by her actions … and she doesn’t believe the Bible (no faith) … you can hear it in her words.

She’s not saved.
