I believe it was Edmund Burke who said “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing”.

Well yesterday in hundreds of Christian churches across the nation, pastors placed Korans next to Bibles and many read from the Koran as part of their so called “worship service”.    I am waiting to hear what the reaction is of those who attended these services.  Was anyone appalled when a time set aside to glorify God and learn from His Word was polluted by teachings about a false god?  Do these people even realize that Islam teaches Jesus was human, not the Son of God, and that it is taught he will return with the Muslim messiah to destroy all crosses and convert Jews and Christians to Islam or put them to death?

Sadly, most probably did not.  They just sat there and allowed themselves to take part in something God finds an abomination.  With each day as we see and report on Christians joining forces with the world on movements like Chrislam and humanism, the words of Jesus in Matthew 24:10 seem to ring more and more ominous:  “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.”

Yesterday seemed to mark a new low for Christianity in the American church.  Pastors who call themselves Christians read and preached from the Koran in front of thousands who probably just didn’t care.  Was this an act of ignorance or stupidity?  Either way we witnessed true abomination yesterday.  And the pastors who allowed this will answer to God one day for their evil ways.

What will it take to wake up Christians in our nation and get them to stand up for the truth of God’s Word?  False teachers are rampant; some pastors are compromising the Word of God for popularity and growth, and our nation is being brought to judgment by God economically and socially; and we continue to just pretend none of it matters.

Will we wake up?  Or will we continue on a path of self destruction?  Will we as Christians see the signs of the times and stand up for God’s truth?  Or continue to slouch toward eternal damnation?

That’s the thing about having a free will—you can choose.  But remember with every choice we make comes consequences.  Choose this day who you will worship and follow:  false teachers who preach a false gospel?  Or Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who said He is the only way and the only truth—and that none come to eternal life with the Father except through Him.  Yes, it’s your choice.  Choose wisely—there’s a lot on the line in the choice you make.  Oh, and by the way, not making a choice is also a choice.  If you think you can just sit on the sidelines and let this battle pass you by, you better check out what God has to day about that.
