As Christ followers, what should our attitude be in these challenging fiscal and political times? Many Americans are growing increasingly frustrated with our government. But put yourself in the shoes of an elected servant for a moment. How would you bring change to a system and policies that aren’t serving constituents well, and what challenges would you need to overcome to honor God?
Joining us in studio today is Congressman Reid Ribble. Representative Ribble is a third generation and lifelong Wisconsin resident. He was born in Neenah, Wis., and graduated from Appleton East High School. After high school, he attended Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music with the intention of going into full time ministerial work. He then decided to follow in his father’s footsteps by joining the family roofing business. Reid brings a unique set of life experiences to the U.S. House of Representatives on behalf of Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District.
For the 112th Congress, Representative Ribble serves on the Budget Committee, the Agriculture Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. These three legislative assignments remain crucial to our nation’s and Wisconsin’s future. Congressman Ribble is working to make government more accountable and effective from his position on the Budget Committee. And through his service on Agriculture he is working to help Wisconsin’s crucial dairy, farming, and timber industries.
Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district is home to the Green Bay, Appleton and Outagamie airports, and extensive shipping and rail lines. Congressman Ribble’s work on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will allow him to help strengthen these vital Northeast Wisconsin transportation resources in addition to continuing the development and maintenance of our roadways.
