If you took today’s visible modern church and put it next to the visible churches of 100 or 200 years ago, what differences would you see? What used to be the gathering or ekklesia of the saints to be equipped and to learn about and worship God together has now become a building where we cater to opinions and survey what the consumers want.
Today our churches as institutions have been shaped by and modeled after what we see in culture, and what we see in corporations. And the landscape has changed so drastically just in the past 50 years that we need to stop and consider that this metamorphosis might be morphing Christians into being man-centered than God-centered.
Joining us is Pastor Randy White. Dr. White has been the Pastor of First Baptist Church of Katy, Texas since August, 2003. He and his wife, Shelley, have been married 25 years and have two grown children.Dr. White hosts an excellent Thursday evening Bible Study online that you can do here.
