The visible church is increasingly avoiding the hard truth of John 3:16. Or more specifically, John 3:17-21:
…whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”
Two weeks ago, Victoria Osteen said our happiness makes God happy. The end game of the Christians, according to her husband Joel’s new book, You Can, You WIll, is that we can speak happiness into our lives.
No sin, no judgement, just bliss.
With that as a backdrop, we see America’s Pastor, Rick Warren, tweeting and posting this:
How could a pastor tell millions of people the opposite of what Scripture says? When many people commented/tweeted back to him asking where this was found in the Bible, Warren simply ignored them.
When folks asked if perhaps someone else did Rick Warren’s social media postings for him, he quickly assured them that it was him.
