America has always prided itself on being a just and moral nation. For close to two hundred years we probably had good reason to think America was a Christian nation but since 1973, nearly sixty million babies have been murdered in their mothers’ wombs, homosexual “marriage” is now being forced on the nation, and our public bathrooms and locker rooms are no longer safe from sexual perversion. Is there any turning back and where is the outcry from church leaders?
Joining us this morning to discuss this continual “slide to Sodom” is Pastor Saiko Woods. He emphasizes the importance of pastors preaching the undiluted Word of God and challenging their congregations to go deeper in Christ.
“If a professing Christian sins, confront them. If you don’t, how can you really love them by allowing them to slide into sin?” Seiko Woods
In the second segment, we hear from Julaine Appling of Wisconsin Family Action. We tackle politics, the presidential race, and the importance of God-ordained natural marriage to a healthy society.
“Christians must be informed and vote their biblical values and not rely on someone’s endorsement, no matter who that person is.” Julaine Appling
Also, pastors must share at church or provide information on where the candidates stand on biblical and moral issues – which includes just about everything!
Scriptures referenced during the program:
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
And clever in their own sight! Isaiah 5:20-21
“Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!” However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Romans 10:13-17
