Elijah offers a unique perspective on the nature of Islam. He was born and raised as a Muslim in Iraq, but converted to Christianity and started Living Oasis Ministries, an organization devoted to teaching American churches about Islam and the best means for reaching out to Muslims with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Living Oasis Ministries is called to equip the saints in the U.S. and around the world to reach Muslims for Christ, to proclaim the Word of God to those who do not know Him through preaching and teaching the Word of God, and to help the global Church challenge Islam with the gospel through apologetics.
Paul tells us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor. 10:5). He also encourages us by stating that as true believers we “have the mind of Christ” so we can see things better due to the Holy Spirit. This means we have the ability to use wisdom in assessing the world around us.
Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. Radical Muslim terrorism is on the rise. It is tempting with our human understanding to group all Muslims in the same camp as “terrorists in waiting,” and begin to live a life of fear and bigotry. At the same time, it is also foolish to ignore the rise in Islamic terrorism – like our president and most of the progressive media.
How should Christians address the growth of Islam and terrorism? How do we stand against evil but remain prepared at all times to share the gospel with people in an anti-Christ system? Former Muslim Elijah Abraham joins us today to answer your questions about Islam, Biblical prophecy and the threat of Islamic terrorism.
Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. Colossians 4:5-6
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 6 and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete. 2 Corinthians 10:5
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; 8 in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:6-8
