Target corporation is spending $20 million to add more bathrooms due to the corporation’s transgender policy. Gender confusion is being promoted on prime time television, in commercials, by the White House, and yes, in public schools. NBC used Caster Semenya to promote transgenderism during the Olympics as she easily won the gold in the women’s 800 meter. (Note: she is not technically a transgender but apparently suffers from a very rare condition called hyperandrogenism)
Many in the U.S. government have been corrupted, and the lack of accountability has never been higher. Also looming is the increased threat of losing more religious freedom.
The speed in which America has shifted away from Christianity has accelerated to the point many Christians are checking out of culture rather than addressing the issues with God’s love and the truth of His Word. When people of faith back down and are silent, the result is lots of rotten fruit in the form or immorality, debauchery, and of course, moral relativism.
Today’s guest, Dr. Alex McFarland is a Christian worldview and culture expert and author of 17 books. His latest book came out this summer, Stand Strong America: Courage, Freedom and Hope for Tomorrow.
From the Introduction:
America hangs in the balance. Established on the ideals and principles of Christianity, the world looks on as America, the once glorious beacon on a hill, sheds its dependence on God.
I’m still reading his previous book, The God You Thought You Knew: Exposing the Ten Biggest Myths about Christianity, and it’s fantastic!
Alex McFarland also authored the popular book, The 21 Toughest Questions Your Kids Will Ask about Christianity & How to Answer Them Confidently – which now includes a DVD curriculum series for families.
He is the co-host of American Family Radio talk network’s show “Exploring the Word,” and also co-hosts the radio and TV program “Viral Truth.” McFarland is the founder of the national apologetics conference, “Truth for a New Generation.”
We get an update on what’s happening in Alex’s home state of North Carolina, where the public school teachers were just given training presentations on transgender issues as kids are preparing to head back to be indoctrinated. Quotes:
“The fight against gender is a fight against natural law, and a fight against natural law is a fight against God,”
“What could be more rebellious than to speak against God by declaring to Him, ‘You have no say over my gender! The Creator doesn’t decide my identity, I do!’ We are designed by God, and part of that design is, inherently, our gender. It’s one thing to disobey God in our behavior, but to deny God in how He created us is another thing altogether.”
“For those who struggle with gender confusion and dysphoria, we have a biblical mandate to love them as our neighbor. However, the biblical call to love our neighbor doesn’t mandate that we condone behavior that may destroy those neighbors.” Alex McFarland
Articles discussed today – Feds targeting homeless shelters with new transgender regulation:
First it was North Carolina. Then it was Target. Now homeless shelters are the new front in the battle over transgender rights.
New proposed federal regulations would permit people to stay in homeless shelters based on their gender identity, according to TheHill.com. The new rules are expected to be finalized in September by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
In other words, if a man identifies as a woman, he would be allowed to stay at a women’s shelter. The regulations have launched a fiery debate.
…The new rule says, “It is likewise prohibited to deny appropriate placement based on a perceived threat to health or safety that can be mitigated some other less burdensome way.”
HUD declined to comment on the proposal until it’s finalized. Tim Wildmon, president of American Family Association, criticized the proposed rule.
“No one is in favor of beating up transgender people,” Wildmon said. “But why do you have to force other people to feel really uncomfortable, and in some cases unsafe, just to make your political point?”
NC school to teachers: Don’t call students ‘boys and girls’ – advancing transgender agenda in goverment schools:
Teachers in Charlotte, North Carolina, have been advised to stop calling the children “boys and girls,” according to a training presentation on transgender issues.
Instead, the progressives who control Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools want teachers to identify the youngsters as either “students” or “scholars.”
The transgender guidelines, which will go into effect this month, range from the absurd to downright outrageous…
For example, boys who identify as girls would be permitted to participate on overnight all-girl field trips.
The workshop, titled “Transgender 101,” helped teachers learn to “define and use important terms and concepts related to gender identity and identify issues facing transgender and gender expansive students.”
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect... 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:2,21
