It always intrigues me when two people can look at the same set of facts and come away with different conclusions. These differing conclusions are of course influenced by our perception of the world and what we have been taught–correctly or erroneously.
As Christians, we see archaeological and scientific discoveries happening regularly that confirm the truth of the Bible. Yet those who stubbornly reject God refuse to see the truth because of ignorance, pride, or a hard heart. The Bible is more than just a religious book–it is an historical book that gives us a look at the creation of the world, along with its future.
Joining us this morning to discuss how credible science is confirming the truth of the Scriptures is Jay Seegert of The Creation Education Center.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. Genesis 1:1-5
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:26-27
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them Man in the day when they were created. 3 When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth.Genesis 5:1-3
