The Bible tells us that one day all nations will rebel against God in a final war in the Middle East as predicted in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Breaking news: God wins the war!
The rise of ISIS and Russian intervention in the Middle East bring us one step closer to this final showdown. A coalition of nations are gathering to come against Israel just as predicted in Scripture. Are we living in the days where we could see the events leading to the victorious return of our Lord? Where is America in end times prophecy?
We’re joined by Dr. Andy Woods, author of The Middle East Meltdown: The Coming Islamic Invasion of Israel to look at current events and square them up with biblical prophecy.
His new book was published by our friend Randy White. (Click here and enter coupon code STANDUP for free shipping)
The burden of the word of the Lord concerning Israel. Thus declares the Lord who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him, “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it. Zechariah 12:1-3
“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” 12 Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city. Acts 1:11-12
We keep our focus and keep the faith by remembering this life is temporary and every prophecy in Scripture will be fulfilled. We can be confident God’s justice and His judgment will prevail. Malachi 4:1-3 states:
“For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,” says the LORD of hosts, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.”
“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,” says the LORD of hosts.
