Tyeesha Holt, a beautiful child of God and heterosexual Christian woman - and, drum roll please - a former lesbian! Her book is called, Nothing Gay About Being Gay.
Truth does not evolve, it is not based on fads, feelings or personal beliefs, and it does not change or depend upon cultural shifts. There are not multiple sources of truth nor are there many ways to the only living God. Jesus is the way, the Truth, and the life; and in John 17:17, he prayed to the Father,
Sanctify them in the truth. Your Word is truth.
“This world is bent on changing the truth of God into a lie. Tyeesha Holt is to be applauded and praised for her courage in taking to pen and paper a very hurtful and painful childhood and expressing it in hope, that others may be helped… The devil through the erosion of the traditional family has a plan to deceive and destroy a generation. This is the ultimate goal of the homosexual agenda. Nothing Gay About Being Gay exposes the darkness, treachery and predatory nature of the gay lifestyle…”
Tyeesha opens the book with truth from Genesis 1:27,
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Born in Lawton, Oklahoma, Nothing Gay About Being Gay, is the first book from Tyeesha Holt. At 29, after living the majority of her youth and adolescent years in the homosexual lifestyle, she dedicated her life to Christ and made the decision to write about ‘Nephew’, the name she was given while living in that dark period of time in her life. From a very young age Tyeesha was introduced to porn and that introduction coupled with the hurt and loneliness she felt from missing the love of her father, caused a downward spiral into a dark life of homosexuality, abuse, drugs, and alcohol. Today, Tyeesha is an active member of Koinonia Christian Church in Arlington, Texas where she served as a Youth Director before going full-time speaking and ministering.
Her story painfully details the enemy’s clear agenda to lie, steal, and destroy. From exposing her to pornography as a child to placing people in her life to take her further into depravity, the lesbian lifestyle included alcohol, drugs, clubs, sexual experimentation, and involvement with prostitutes.
During today’s interview, Tyeesha described three major catalysts into the LGBTQ lifestyle: “trauma, choice, or exposure.” But praise God for the victory through Christ which is so evident in her deliverance and redemption. Share this powerful testimony!
This story is a confirmation of how the enemy uses early exposure to perversion to captivate our youth and infect their minds and hearts with curiosity about, and eventually a desire for sexual sin. It indirectly substantiates my and others warnings about the harmful and deceptive activities of groups like GLSEN, that target children through the public school system with exposure to homosexual ideas and acts… Also seen throughout this story is God’s divine providence and protection over her in her darkness.
QUOTES from the book:
“I had been taught to use grace and forgiveness as a license to do what I wanted, because the adults who introduced me to Jesus did whatever they wanted outside of church.”
“We then begin to search for things that make us feel comfortable with disobeying our own true feelings in front of people we feel won’t agree with us. By doing that, we place ourselves around people doing the same thing because we think those who tell us the truth about the decisions we are about to make or have made are judging us if they are not in agreement with us.”
“I decided to randomly start calling girls from school in a very manipulative fashion… none of the girls found anything wrong with the idea of two girls being together.”
“I truly believe there was at least one student around me who knew exactly what was happening, but was too scared to say something because most of our youth lack knowledge of the power of the Word…”
“I loved my friends, but I needed to understand God more, so I sent out a text to everyone in my phone saying, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing with God or what He is doing with me, but until I get an understanding I need no distractions from my past. God bless you, but this is goodbye.'”
SCRIPTURES referenced during today’s interview:
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. 2 Corinthians 10:13
A woman shall not wear man’s clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God. Deuteronomy 22:5
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. James 1:13-14
Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 6 Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” Galatians 4:5-6
