Liberals have mastered the art of accusing people of hate speech when someone disagrees with the leftist agenda. If you dared oppose President Obama’s agenda, they label you a racist; if you oppose abortion you are, of course, against women. With the news about Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy retiring next month, we are almost guaranteed to hear some choice accusation and hate speech as liberals smear any pro-life, conservative – or God-forbid – Christian Supreme Court candidate President Trump might nominate. What Judge Clarence Thomas experienced nearly 30 years ago will look like a walk in the park compared to what the President’s nominee is sure to face, as liberals fear an unraveling of their pro-abortion, Marxist, pro-LGBTQ agenda.
How should we as Christians respond to the caustic culture and stay above the fray? How can we freely express our views and respond biblically to the onslaught of hateful rhetoric we are sure to experience for daring to support a Trump nominee that believes in the sanctity of human life? Pastor Mike Abendroth of No Compromise Radio joins us to discuss this challenge along with looking at the “perpetual adolescence” of some professing Christians. Is growth in holiness a necessary requirement for those who claim to be saved and born-again?
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Eph. 6:12-13
“The heart is more deceitful than all else
And is desperately sick;
Who can understand it? Jer. 17:9
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 2 Cor. 10:3-5
Concerning him we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. Hebrews 5:11-14
Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” Rev. 22:12-13
