John Loeffler

Steel On Steel Radio

John is a fifty year veteran of broadcast journalism and born-again follower of Jesus Christ.  John is in his 25th year of hosting Steel On Steel Radio -- a news talk program that looks at today's events through the lens of the Bible.

Our worldview is the starting point for how we judge facts and truth. How we view the world affects our decisions and actions. From a biblical perspective, Christians see things through the lens of Scripture. What we’re witnessing in America today is the result of two opposing worldviews on a collision course.

The battle comes down to those who trust and believe God’s Word and those who trust and believe man’s word. These are incompatible. Two entities that cannot coexist are children of the devil who are hostile toward Christ, and children of God who represent the light of Christ and His truth.

Today’s guest is John Loeffler of Steel on Steel radio. John weighs in on the calculated and chaotic Senate hearings on the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice, Brett Kavanaugh and the Marxist underpinnings of progressives that drive them. The questions is how does the average American citizen see this government and liberal media fiasco?

Loeffler gives us his take on a National Review article by Victor David Hanson, who articulately argues that the Kavanaugh circus proves America, led by the progressive left, has finally entered the alien dimension of George Orwell’s “1984.” Hanson cites today’s “newsspeak” and “doublespeak” including the abandonment of presumption of innocence, statutes of limitations, the need for evidence, details, testimony, and the rights of the accused. One conclusion is America has descended into “the socialist totalitarian hell Orwell warned us about long ago.”

We also discuss what’s happening in China with the apparent alliance of the Catholic Church and Communist government. What about the heavy-handed LGBTQ lobby and American government and how they might be locking arms with the liberal, emergent church in the U.S.? On both continents, is the faithful, conservative, traditional Christian church in trouble or will it thrive?
