We want to let you know about a small change in how we handle Stand Up For The Truth podcast replays.
In the past, when we’ve taken a Monday off, had a sudden host illness, observed a holiday, or simply needed a day away from producing a new program, we would often replay a previous episode and repost that program to our website and podcast feeds.
Going forward, we will no longer repost those older programs as new podcast episodes. We’ve learned that podcast platforms such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify are designed for each published episode to be new, unique content. Reposting an older episode can create duplicate-content issues, confuse episode ordering and subscriber feeds, and potentially affect how a podcast is indexed and presented by those services. Rather than create unnecessary problems for our podcast distribution, we’re changing how we handle replay days.
That doesn’t mean Mondays will never have a new program. On occasion, we may produce a fresh Monday edition of Stand Up For The Truth, and when we do, it will be posted to the website and podcast feeds just like any other new episode.
We’re grateful for everyone who listens, downloads, shares the program, and continues to support Stand Up For The Truth. Thank you for understanding this small change as we work to take good care of the program and make it as easy as possible for people to find and follow.
