Leaving Mormonism

Mormonism continues to grow because Mormons are very open and evangelistic about their religion. They tend to be very moral people and unless you really understand what Mormonism is and what they believe about God, you can easily mistake Mormonism for biblical Christianity. But underneath the facade that appears to be biblical Christianity is a religion that has the identity of God and Jesus Christ wrong, leading many to a false sense of eternal security.

Dr. Lynn Wilder knows all about the subtle deception of Mormonism as she was a practicing Mormon for years until the truth was revealed to her by God. Now she is dedicated to teaching people about Mormonism and pointing them to the true saving faith of biblical Christianity through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God in the flesh.

Dr. Wilder joins us this morning to share her story and offer advice in how to engage Mormons with the truth of God’s Word… the Bible.

Jill Martin Rische: Kingdoms, Cults & Demons – Oh My!

Cults, deceptions, satanism, and the supernatural. Where do we start? How about in the Christian church? We are warned to come out from among them and be separate. Most of us would admit that the increasing spiritual darkness today goes hand in hand with the landslide of immorality and rebellion against God. Interest in demons, the occult, witchcraft, and the paranormal have never been so high.

We expect these things to be popular in a pagan society and among those who don’t know God. But what we are seeing more and more is the church opening up its door to one or more of these deceptions. This goes beyond false teachings although sound doctrine is of utmost importance to Christians. We’re talking about the demonic realm; about spiritual warfare.

Are We Prepared?

Mike and David also look at a perspective on persecution from David Curry, President of Open Doors, USA.  Mr. Curry admonishes the American Church for being enamored with entertainment while our Christian brothers and sisters around the world face imprisonment, torture and even death fore their faith in Jesus Christ.  Are we as a church detached from our suffering family in Christ?
