It’s been quite a ride this week since the news broke of our victory in court as we challenged a De Pere city “non-discrimination” ordinance. Many of you have weighed in with both praise as well as some criticism. Today, Mike addresses your comments and questions over the last couple weeks.Read More

Dr Duke Show hosts, Duke Pesta and Katie Petrick of Freedom Project join us today for some almost unbelievable education updates. You’re not going to believe what is actually happening on college campuses and in public school classrooms in America. Some in the LGBTQ community are now openly admitting their goal is to “groom young children.” Their agenda has moved on from diversity to inclusion. We discuss what they mean by “inclusion.”
We look at recent news stories showing how government-run education is repressing Christian thought and expression.
We also explain the good news from Friday that a judge struck down De Pere’s extremely broad, non-discrimination ordinance. Judge William Atkinsion upheld our challenge and struck down the ordinance calling it unconstitutional, ruling in favor of Christian ministries and religious freedom.
So praise God! Our legal challenge to the City of De Pere’s “non-discrimination” ordinance was successful.Read More
We certainly hear the phrase, “God accepts you just the way you are” thrown around quite liberally in Christian circles. But is that actually what the Bible teaches? This is one question we tackle this morning as we read your questions and comments from the week. Other topics include:
The eternal security of true believers.
Is there such a thing as ‘Christian yoga’ or Christian tarot cards’?
The apostate Social Justice theology infiltrating churches.
Do we tend to view the world and Christianity through our “American eyes”?
Should Christians allow themselves to be hypnotized in effort to break a bad habit or addiction?
What did John Loeffler mean by there’s a difference between liberals and new radical liberals?
How do we know that our conscience is being led by the Holy Spirit and not our own flesh?
With the lack of solid, sound teachings, at what point can mature believers consider starting a home church?
Can a Christian lose their salvation? What about those who add to the Scriptures?
Today’s podcast seems like a political show.
How does God’s Law still apply to the life of born-again believers?
Does suicide prevent a person from going to heaven?

The Bible warns us that in the final days good would be seen as evil and evil seen as good. This is to be expected of a fallen, sinful world, but not within the Church itself. Anyone with a modicum of common sense can see what is happening in the Senate confirmation meetings over Judge Brett Kavanaugh: godless radicals are stooping to new lows to destroy a man they think might one day hinder a woman’s “right” to kill the child in her womb. Make no mistake: this spiritual war is over abortion, a Sacrament of the Democrat Party.
Stalin and Lenin referred to them as “useful idiots” blind to truth because they rejected God and are rallying behind lies and slander in order to allow legalized abortion to remain unhindered. Sadly, even in the American church, a number of these evildoers have infected church leadership in every denomination of Christianity. For example, the National Council of Churches has called for Judge Cavanaugh to step aside, officially siding with evil and the murder of innocent children.
LISTENER QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS
What is the proper, biblical stance? Pre-trib, mid-trib, or post-trib?
How can there be accountability in a church when there are no elders and little discipleship?
Why do so many churches avoid teaching about Bible prophecy when it’s nearly a third of Scripture?
I think the era of Big Brother is being implemented right before our eyes.
Thanks for having guests like Elijah Abraham and James Walker, and reminding us that Christians are to love and share the truth with Muslims, not fear them.
I am no fan of most Republicans in Washington, but the Democrat Party has turned evil right before our eyes in their zeal for political power and are willing to destroy anyone who stands in their way. They’ve sold out to the LGBTQ movement and radical Marxists.
Can you explain why some Christians defend Andy Stanley while others criticize him regarding his comments on unhitching from the Old Testament?Read More
We are in a battle, but how can we successfully fight when half of the army refuses to engage? As Christians, we are soldiers of Christ and the warfare in this life is very real and yet, so many believers don’t want to acknowledge the reality of this fight. John R. W. Stott once said:
“We should not ask, ‘What is wrong with the world?’ for that diagnosis has already been given. Rather, we should ask, ‘Where is the salt and light? Where is the Church? Why are the salt and light of Jesus Christ not permeating and changing our society?’”
From the family to the church to the community and culture, Christians have been too preoccupied with earthly, temporary concerns than seeking first the kingdom of God. I realize this seems like a broad statement, but don’t you think America would look very different if true believers had been vocal and actively engaged in advancing the gospel over the last hundred years?
Today’s guest is Julaine Appling of Wisconsin Family Council. We discuss everything from our local and state government to the transgender agenda which now includes Drag Queen story hours in our local libraries!Read More
On Fridays, Mike and David talk about whatever is on your heart and mind. This week as always, we answer as many listener questions and comments as we can regarding:
Using Romans 7 as an excuse to go on sinning
Is the Pope causing some Catholics to question their own teachings?
Should women be allowed to be pastors?
Are all prosperity preachers ‘charlatans’?
A youth group leader concerned that kids in church bristle when they hear the word “sin”
Creflo Dollar or Todd Friel: whose doctrine is biblically sound?
A woman learned her husband had an affair: should she forgive and stay in the marriage?
Is tithing a requirement in the Christian church?
Jesse Duplantis and the “Word of Faith” movement.
Liberals have successfully painted themselves as champions for human rights, yet they overwhelmingly continue to support the murder of innocent children in the womb. Somehow, some way they have successfully dismissed the life of an innocent child as something less than a human right. And sadly a majority of Americans and even professing Christians have historically favored abortion to some extent. But is the tide of public opinion starting to change?
This morning we are joined by Stephanie Gray, an international pro-life speaker who began speaking publicly at age 18. She has appeared on almost every major television network and spoken at dozens of college campuses including Yale, George Washington University and California-Berkeley. And last year she spoke at Google in a speech that went viral titled “Abortion: From Controversy to Civility”. She is a born-again believer who is changing minds and hearts by God’s power and grace.Read More
The federal Government recently experienced a short shut down over the issue of immigration and the so-called “dreamers,” and unless our leaders come up with a plan to address the immigration issue facing our nation, another shut down may happen again. Conservatives are insisting that border security and a comprehensive plan on immigration be adopted while most liberals seem to want a form of “blanket amnesty” for illegal immigrants.
Does the Word of God address the issue of immigration? Today we share a perspective from Laura Lacey of Christian Headlines.
In our first segment we talk with Steve Sonderman, coordinator of the No Regrets Men’s Conference. What is the role of Christian men in our churches, family and society, and how is the enemy trying to undermine the role of Christian men as leaders both in the home and in our communities?Read More

Today, we begin the program with an update on the debate over the so-called “anti-discrimination” bill passed by the De Pere, Wisconsin City Council this week. The battle is not over — it has just begun! And Stand Up for the Truth is taking an active role in gathering local ministry support, raising awareness of the issue, and investigating legal options.
Fridays are for listener’s comments and questions, and we have another packed program with excellent input and feedback. We address your comments on a variety of issues ranging from the De Pere City Council action, to Hillsong Pastor Carl Lentz and his apparent abortion/sin flip-flop, to how the liberal press and education are using deception to promote their agenda.Read More
The City of Manitowoc, Wisconsin kicks off its Windigo Fest tonight. “Windigo” is an American Indian folklore about a cannibalistic monster and evil spirit who allegedly possesses humans and becomes monstrous. There is even a modern medical term associated with it these days called “Windigo Psychosis.” Despite protests and concerns from some citizens, the city is allowing this dark event and some are very concerned the city is opening its arms to demonic presence and influence.
And guess who is kicking off the event? Opening with “some prayers for healing from the evil violence shaking our nation,” is a local Presbyterian pastor. So pastor, you are endorsing and participating in an event that celebrates violence and spiritual possession, while praying against violence in our nation?
We also share your comments and questions from the week, including comments from students who received varying reactions to bringing their bibles to school yesterday, gun control, understanding the liberal mindset, and what to do when your children argue with you about going to church.Read More
Here are some of the questions and comments from this past week:
The large company I am applying for proudly supports the LGBTQ agenda and contributes to related causes. I was excited about the opportunity before I learned this, but now am conflicted. What do you think?
My daughter just told me she is bisexual and I’m in shock. She grew up in church, went to a private Christian school and attends a Christian college. What angers me is the church generally accepts LGBTQ lifestyles now.
Please clarify a Scripture you shared on a recent podcast, 1 John 4:3 about spirits that deny Jesus came in the flesh and are not of God.
You said American Christianity is looking more like Babylon these days than the church Jesus shed His blood to redeem. I sense this as well but could you expound on it please?
Here in Canada, we don’t have anything like your show and the sell-out by the church to government has already happened. Please continue warning Americans!
My husband and I are heartbroken. Our 12 year-old son just announced he is really a woman. We’re completely caught off guard and don’t even know how to confront this.
There are still some sound biblical Christian churches in America; a “remnant,” to be sure. But a growing number look more and more like the world than they do an assembly of God’s called-out people. A difficulty arises when you have been a member of a historically sound church, but it has been in the midst of a transformation where it is adopting the beliefs and values of this fallen world. This gradual shift is often so subtle that you cannot see the drift away from God and toward secular humanism.
Pastor Randy White has studied this trend and joins us to discuss how this drift of the church away from God has transpired, how we can spot it, and how to find a biblical church in a sea of growing heresy and apostasy.Read More
Many Christians in America are asking that question these days as we see a growing number of churches change. The Gospel of reconciliation being replaced with consumerism and our “best life now”; moves of the Holy Spirit being replaced with emotional manipulation through loud music and fog machines; and churches that look more and more like the world Jesus told us would hate us and that we should hate.
But the changes introduced into American Christianity have been so subtle that many people do not even notice them until one day we suddenly feel like a stranger and alien in the very church we attended for years.
Jan Markell of Olive Tree Views and Understanding the Times Radio joins us to talk about the growing concerns of serious Christians about what they see happening in many of our churches these days.Read More
The American Psychological Association recently released a study calling out what it perceives as the dangers of traditional masculinity warning that it leads men to hating women and LGBTQ people. As men are “marketed” to by corporate America we see confusing messages on what it means to be a man these days.
Are we to be the strong, silent, rugged, macho guy? Or the sensitive, nurturing, submissive guy who sits back quietly and just accepts things the way they are?
If we listen to the world we will be continually confused about what it means to be a man. But not surprisingly God’s Word has a lot to say about what real men are.
This morning, Mike discusses this issue with Dave Wager of Nicolet Bible Institute. What does it mean to be a man of God in today’s world?
We also look at an interesting perspective from a Christian musician who says that youth these days are being conditioned to worship their own self-image, and since the world is sending wrong messages to our youth about what their image should look like it is leading to dire consequences for an entire generation.Read More
God created men and women equal but uniquely different. In His master plan, men are to be strong and loving leaders and wives are to respectfully submit to their husband’s leadership. The Christian church in America needs real godly men, but at the time when they are needed most many are confused about what it means to be a true man of God. The world and its institutions that hate God have successfully minimized and redefined manhood, reducing many men to confused, quivering bowls of jelly instead of principled, strong leaders for the church and their families. And some believe that church leadership is also responsible for accommodating this feminizing of Christian men because they are not teaching us what it means to be Godly leaders of wives, families, and communities.
Pastor Carl Gallups joins us to discuss how society’s emasculation of men is infecting American Christianity, leading to dire consequences.Read More
