Mike and David read your questions and comments, but open with a commentary on the disgusting actions of the State of New York that will kill more babies and American Christianity’s collective cowardice in standing up for the lives of unborn children.
When “The State” thumbs its nose at God and proudly passes a law that will murder more children created in the image of God, and American Christianity Churches continue in their ringing silence and failure to stand up for those children, is the “church” becoming part of the problem rather than the solution?Read More
Here are some of this week’s questions and comments from Stand Up for the Truth listeners:
You guys always have great discussions with people from Ratio Christi – what a solid ministry.
How do we best understand the topic of the eternal security of true believers?
I was an atheist and many people planted seeds in me through the years. I don’t think there is a ‘one size fits all’ method of evangelism. People are reached in different ways.
Regarding witnessing and the true conversion of young people such as college students, I think their faith often depends on discipleship and on what church they end up attending.
Loved your spirited discussion about praying for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg after she fell. It is both right to pray for her to be saved or healed as well as to pray for God to remove her from her position of influence on SCOTUS.
Your show has helped me find a new passion for the Old Testament, thank you.
Serious Christians better understand that Liberalism is not only a cancer to our country but also to Christianity.
To claim you love God more than anything but then blatantly disobey his clear teachings on life, marriage, and gender cannot be reconciled.Read More
It’s the Listeners Show where Mike and David tackle your questions and comments from this week (… and a few weeks prior that we could not fit in). Here are some of the questions and comments from today’s program.
Is it a sin to not have children if there’s a serious risk of birth defects?
What are “biblical conjunctives”?
Legalism in the church
I disagree with you on prosperity and healing
Christians should not support President Trump
Why aren’t more believers equipped to disciple and do ministry?
Why do you have guests on your show who are Calvinists, then have other guests who are anti-Calvinists?
My pastor says all you guys do is bash the church, but he can’t give me specific examples
Should a large church cater to new visitors, particularly in its Sunday sermons?
Shouldn’t Charles Stanley refute the heresy that his son Andy Stanley is teaching?
Our church brought in a consultant who helped set up a “Leadership Model” following the Willow Creek example to carry out the pastor’s vision. Sadly, we are leaving this church immediately.
Why aren’t more believers equipped to disciple and do ministry?
Our favorite podcast is every Friday when listeners to Stand Up for the Truth ask questions or share their comments. Send yours in early in order to get in line for next week’s show!
Why does God allow suffering and evil in this world?
What if God really gave us the desires of our hearts?
It’s so easy to give advice and godly counsel rather than follow that same advice!
Do we have it too good (are Christians spoiled) here in America?
Are ‘Social Justice Christians’ worshiping self or the world above God?
Have you ever heard of “Faith, Hope, and Cancer” seminars?
How were Michael and Lisa Gungor able to live a “Christian” lie for years?
How sad that Christian conservatives were called judgmental, bigoted, and unloving years ago when trying to warn the church about progressive apostates such as the Gungors.
Showing grace to young people: any of us who are older could have been deceived IF we had lived in these times when confusion, indoctrination, lies, leftism, evolution, and humanism reigns.
I’ve heard the word “dominionism” used in both negative and positive contexts; which is it?
Does John mean in 1 John 3 that our ongoing sin can still condemn us?
If we refuse to sound the alarm and let people continue to drown in the depth of their sin and defiance of God, will their blood be on our hands? Will we find more Christian leaders with the courage to stand up and speak out boldly against the evils so rampant in our nation? Or will they continue to cave in to political correctness and the opinions of men?
Our nation is consuming a poisonous concoction of their own brewing: Arrogance against God; sexual immorality that overshadows the sins of Sodom; and murder of innocent children that is not only ignored, but celebrated. As Christians we can point them to the cure — God and His Word. If we cower from doing so we are guilty of spiritual malpractice and will answer to God for our cowardice.
It is not simply America that God is patiently watching and assessing, it is each of us who claims to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and particularly those whom God has elevated to positions of leadership. Will we be found as faithful? Or will we be proven to be frauds who honor Him with our lips while our hearts are far from Him?Read More
We discuss the continuing meltdown of the Left, their reaction to Donald Trump’s election, his early policies, and Supreme Court Justice nominee, Neil Gorsuch. Also, last night, hate filled riots broke out at California Berkeley, making Saul Alinsky, Barack Obama, Jim Wallis, the liberal media, and Hillary Clinton (to name a few) proud. Plus, Mike’s commentary.Read More
