Looking Behind the Curtain

It is easy to pursue comfort, leisure, luxury and peace in part by living in our own little bubbles, impervious to all that is happening around us. Newsflash: the nation as well as the church in America are divided. Biblical illiteracy is rampant and true history has been rewritten, but on the surface things are good for most Americans.

Aside from the national debt, the economy is generally stable with historically low unemployment and increasing jobs every month. But under the surface things are volatile and becoming more contentious by the day. Because political disagreement has been replaced with vicious hate and personal attacks, many fear our nation may be on the brink of a second civil war. The Far Left is committed to globalism and are beside themselves as President Trump continues to push his “America First” platform which includes appointing pro-life judges that might threaten the legal murder of innocent children.

Behind the scenes, elites and the establishment continue to work on the foundation of a one world government where God is dismissed and mankind elevates itself. Today we discuss the Deep State, transhumanism, end times prophecy, and a recent survey showing over 60 percent of 18-36 year-old Americans favor socialism; much higher than previous polls.

Gary Kah of Hope For the World has researched and written about the coming one world government for thirty years and joins us this morning to take a look behind the curtain at the systematic move to globalism.

Do You Understand How To Use Your Most Powerful Weapon In The Christian Arsenal?

In our final segment this morning, we look at the Trump Administration’s efforts within the Department of Education to reverse some of the horrible damage done by President Obama’s radical pro-LGBTQ and anti-Christian mandates.

But first we look at the most powerful weapon in the Christian arsenal: prayer. An all-powerful, just and righteous God actually invites us to come to Him with our hopes, concerns, requests, and fears.  But do we fully understand the power of prayer and even how to pray?  Do we sometimes pray as a last resort when our human efforts have been exhausted and proven ineffective?  Are there restrictions or obligations God puts on our prayers?  And how do we respond when God does not answer our prayers exactly as we think they should be answered?

Elijah Abraham of Living Oasis Ministries joins us to take a biblical look at the power and privilege of prayer in our lives as born-again believers in Jesus Christ. This includes three major categories of prayer.

Opposing Perspectives on Iran, Government

While most of the international intrigue has been over North Korea’s pursuit of nuclear capabilities to attack America, something very interesting is happening in Iran. The radical Muslim nation under the grips of the powerful Ayatollahs has imprisoned and killed Christians, homosexuals and anyone opposing them. But now the people of Iran are rising up in opposition and this isn’t the first time. Under President Obama the U.S. said nothing against the brutal regime in Iran because the president wanted his precious “nuclear treaty” with Iran – a treaty that has proven to be another example of naive thinking and failed foreign policy.

But now President Trump is supporting the uprising to overthrow a brutal Islamic regime and the liberal press is blasting him. We look at a couple of articles and perspectives on this simmering world-stage issue.

In our first segment we check in with Julaine Appling of Wisconsin Family Council to look at the difference between state and federal government process, as well as pending legislation that would address “non-discrimination” ordinances being passed in Wisconsin that threaten religious conscience and liberty.

The Changing Face of America

Prior to becoming president, Barack Obama promised to “fundamentally transform the United States.” Whatever you think of the former president, he was true to his word and his administration sure did incite change on this nation. As a result, in just eight short years, today’s American culture, values, and public opinion have declined dramatically. Our great grandparents would hardly recognize the country they loved.

Is it even possible to reverse the “fundamental transformation” or is it permanent? Can our nation and church return to its traditional Judeo-Christian values that served us well for nearly 200 years?

Today’s guest has some interesting insights on these and other issues. Alex Nitzberg is a columnist and host of The Alex Nitzberg Show. He has studied American history and current trends in our nation, and joins us to discuss where we are headed and the influence the U.N. and LGBTQ movements have had on America.

Jerusalem: Important Then and Now

As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we can’t help but hear about Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and Israel. But if we ignore the signs of the times including what is happening in Jerusalem, we risk missing important end times events. These prophetic signs from God point to the return of Jesus to judge all mankind and establish His everlasting Kingdom in which “the government will be upon His shoulders.”

Pastor Randy White joins us to discuss recent events in Jerusalem and the Middle East as well as some forgotten history of the holy land. Randy also shares some fascinating details we may not know about the Christmas Story. In segment three we touch on two articles that cover anti-semitism in France and the ‘bah humbug’ spirit trying to prevent prisoners from receiving religions education.

You Can Always Tell a Liberal, But You Can’t Tell Him Much

Liberals, backed by Hollywood, most media, and the government education system, have successfully cornered the market on public conversations these days. We are into our third generation of young people indoctrinated into radical liberal thought on issues of society, government and even religion, and the fruits of this indoctrination are growing out of control. Free speech and tolerance seems to be a one way street: they are allowed only if you agree with the liberal elite in our nation.

How can we successfully combat liberal “group think” and expose their hypocrisy? John Loeffler of Steel on Steel Radio joins us to discuss this enormous challenge.

In Order to Fight Evil We Must First Understand It

It is very easy to become distracted or overwhelmed with all that’s going on in our world. North Korea and its threats; ISIS and the wars in the Middle East; increasing attacks on Christians and Jews around the globe; and Christians being marginalized and pushed out of the public arena here in the U.S.

But if we stay anchored in God’s Word and keep our faith and focus on Him, we will understand the times and see these events from a big picture perspective. With the Bible as our foundation, we will be encouraged and equipped to stand strong in our faith and trust in God’s sovereignty.

Pastor Carl Gallups joins us this morning to help sift through the noise and keep our minds focused on God’s Word and promises. We will also discuss the growing threats to Christian Churches and if it is time for more churches to take the safety of its members more seriously by implementing security measures.

All Eyes on Israel; Nabeel Qureshi, and Pastor’s Wives

The Bible is clear that in the final years before the Lord’s return, Israel will be ground zero for activity ushering in His return. Jerusalem is called a stumbling block to the world and these days approximately 25% of all discussion within the United Nations focuses on the conflict between Israel and her neighbors who have publicly stated they want it wiped off the map.

We also remember apologist, #Nabeel Qureshi (34) and his conversion from Islam, his heart for ministry, and his legacy. After a year long battling stomach cancer, Nabeel left to be with the Lord last Saturday. We also discussed the expectations the church generally places on pastors and specifically, their wives! There is not enough attention paid to the importance of loving, praying for and supporting them.

We’re joined on air by Jim Fletcher of Prophecy Matters to discuss the importance of Israel, Jerusalem, Damascas, and the Middle east in light of Bible prophecy. We also debunk the September 23 prediction of the rapture or apocalypse.

How Serious is the North Korea Threat?

Last weekend, North Korea successfully tested a hydrogen bomb.  Already possessing nukes and threatening to use them against the U.S., the fact they now have hydrogen bombs raises the stakes dramatically for two reasons:  First, hydrogen bombs are far more powerful than simple nuclear weapons, and second, a hydrogen bomb is much more plausible for what might be a worst nightmare for our nation.  Some suggest an electronic magnetic pulse bomb (EMP) could wipe out every computer and electronic capability of our nation for up to a full year. If that happens, government experts predict the casualty rate could be as high as 90% in our nation and it would practically eliminate America as a world power.

This morning we discuss the threat and ask how Christians should respond in the face of potential tragedy.

In our first segment today, we check in with Counter Culture Mom, Tina Marie Griffin, to discuss dangers in media for our children, practical alternatives for parents, and a big event coming up in a few weeks for women.

New Apostolic Reformation Movement

Today we tackle the offices of prophet and apostle, signs and wonders, revealed Scripture or new revelation. What does it mean to take dominion over the earth? Where does spiritual warfare and revival come into play? What about those who call themselves Apostle or Prophet? These are among the issues Christian theologians and believers have discussed for hundreds of years.

This morning we also address the New Apostolic Reformation movement that most credit to C. Peter Wagner. Is it consistent with biblical teachings and the traditional Protestant views of the Bible? Dr. Gary Gilley is an author and pastor who has written extensively on the subject and joins us to give us his perspective.

Biblical Submission to Authority

This morning we discuss an important biblical issue that just goes against every fabric of our sinful, rebellious nature: submission to the authorities in our lives. In many ways America is an interesting paradox. We are a Republic governed by the rule of law—yet we came into existence by rebelling against the laws we were under (from England).

In our first segment we look at a disturbing story of how bad things can get when young people are not taught respect and to honor authority. A decorated Green Bay School Teacher recently resigned because student behaviors were so bad that her very life and health was in danger. And we discuss the sad irony of this fact: teachers facing anarchy from students when their own teacher’s union used to recommend they read and emulate Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals so they can learn how to undermine political authority over them. Are we headed straight to the brink of anarchy in our nation where there is no authority or order?

What about us, professing Christians, are we honoring the authorities in our lives as the Bible instructs? Dave Wager of Nicolet Bible Institute joins us to discuss the biblical mandate of honoring the authorities God has placed in our lives as believers.

Listener’s Show: Your Questions and Comments

Here are some of the questions and comments from this past week:

The large company I am applying for proudly supports the LGBTQ agenda and contributes to related causes. I was excited about the opportunity before I learned this, but now am conflicted. What do you think?
My daughter just told me she is bisexual and I’m in shock. She grew up in church, went to a private Christian school and attends a Christian college. What angers me is the church generally accepts LGBTQ lifestyles now.
Please clarify a Scripture you shared on a recent podcast, 1 John 4:3 about spirits that deny Jesus came in the flesh and are not of God.
You said American Christianity is looking more like Babylon these days than the church Jesus shed His blood to redeem. I sense this as well but could you expound on it please?
Here in Canada, we don’t have anything like your show and the sell-out by the church to government has already happened. Please continue warning Americans!
My husband and I are heartbroken. Our 12 year-old son just announced he is really a woman. We’re completely caught off guard and don’t even know how to confront this.

The Difficulty in Finding a Biblical Church

There are still some sound biblical Christian churches in America; a “remnant,” to be sure. But a growing number look more and more like the world than they do an assembly of God’s called-out people. A difficulty arises when you have been a member of a historically sound church, but it has been in the midst of a transformation where it is adopting the beliefs and values of this fallen world. This gradual shift is often so subtle that you cannot see the drift away from God and toward secular humanism.

Pastor Randy White has studied this trend and joins us to discuss how this drift of the church away from God has transpired, how we can spot it, and how to find a biblical church in a sea of growing heresy and apostasy.

What Happened to My Church?

Many Christians in America are asking that question these days as we see a growing number of churches change. The Gospel of reconciliation being replaced with consumerism and our “best life now”; moves of the Holy Spirit being replaced with emotional manipulation through loud music and fog machines; and churches that look more and more like the world Jesus told us would hate us and that we should hate.

But the changes introduced into American Christianity have been so subtle that many people do not even notice them until one day we suddenly feel like a stranger and alien in the very church we attended for years.

Jan Markell of Olive Tree Views and Understanding the Times Radio joins us to talk about the growing concerns of serious Christians about what they see happening in many of our churches these days.

The Dangers of Masculinity

The American Psychological Association recently released a study calling out what it perceives as the dangers of traditional masculinity warning that it leads men to hating women and LGBTQ people. As men are “marketed” to by corporate America we see confusing messages on what it means to be a man these days.

Are we to be the strong, silent, rugged, macho guy? Or the sensitive, nurturing, submissive guy who sits back quietly and just accepts things the way they are?

If we listen to the world we will be continually confused about what it means to be a man. But not surprisingly God’s Word has a lot to say about what real men are.

This morning, Mike discusses this issue with Dave Wager of Nicolet Bible Institute. What does it mean to be a man of God in today’s world?

We also look at an interesting perspective from a Christian musician who says that youth these days are being conditioned to worship their own self-image, and since the world is sending wrong messages to our youth about what their image should look like it is leading to dire consequences for an entire generation.

The Feminizing of American Christianity

God created men and women equal but uniquely different. In His master plan, men are to be strong and loving leaders and wives are to respectfully submit to their husband’s leadership. The Christian church in America needs real godly men, but at the time when they are needed most many are confused about what it means to be a true man of God. The world and its institutions that hate God have successfully minimized and redefined manhood, reducing many men to confused, quivering bowls of jelly instead of principled, strong leaders for the church and their families. And some believe that church leadership is also responsible for accommodating this feminizing of Christian men because they are not teaching us what it means to be Godly leaders of wives, families, and communities.

Pastor Carl Gallups joins us to discuss how society’s emasculation of men is infecting American Christianity, leading to dire consequences.
