It is good to be passionate about the truth because as Jesus said He is the truth and the truth shall set us free–free from a life of condemnation and guilt before a righteous and holy God.  But when we are zealous about something that just isn’t true we damage our witness and credibility with others.  And in our zeal to share the good news with our family and friends we sometimes “overreach” when we don’t take the time to carefully study the scriptures.  We present something as “truth” when it is not and we lose credibility with those we are trying to reach.

Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project joins Mike and Crash this morning to look at some beliefs of Christians that are just not found in the Word of God and the importance of making sure our zeal is well grounded in truth and supported by the Bible.  Jay also discusses the amazing complexity of the human body, pointing to the truth that we were fearfully and wonderfully made by God and not a random act of nature.
