The only thing that never changes is God; everything else is in a constant flux of change: sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. The professing Christian Church in America has gone through a gradual change over the past several decades as secular culture has slowly infiltrated and influenced it. As secular culture, public education, media, and an increasingly powerful government put pressure on the church to approve of a godless agenda, we will see many churches start to buckle to the pressure and conform to the world. Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project and Elijah Abraham of Living Oasis Ministries travel around the nation and the world sharing the gospel and equipping churches to remain anchored to the truth of God’s Word in a world that is pressuring them to conform to the ways and values of this fallen, sinful world. They both join us in studio for a frank discussion on the condition of the church and professing Christians in America.Read More

Make no mistake: as Christians we are at war with this world. No, we do not use the world’s weapons or tactics, but Paul says in 2 Corinthians 10 that we have divine (spiritual) weapons able to to destroy arguments and lofty opinions of this world that are opposed to God and truth.
But many are wondering why a growing number of church leaders are not calling and equipping believers to fight this crucial spiritual battle for the eternal souls of our friends and neighbors. Where are the leaders rallying, challenging, and equipping Christians for this battle? We seem intent on looking more and more like the world we are supposed to win to Christ.
Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project joins us to talk about the crucial need for church and family leadership in these days of growing confusion and evil.Read More
As public education, media, and government have become clearly opposed to God in the preceding decades, we have reached a point in time when Christianity has gone from the prevailing belief system in our nation to one that is under intellectual assault at every turn.
Our children are immersed and indoctrinated by a public education system and entertainment industry that claims to offer them hope and truth when in reality, it is leading them to confusion and hopelessness. Yet many of us are concerned that the Church, which should be a beacon of light and truth set apart from the despair of this world, is actually being conformed to this world instead of being set apart from it.
This has been the result of rampant biblical illiteracy among a growing number of professing Christians that actually believe Jesus sinned while He was on earth. And if we believe Jesus actually sinned, what does that say about our belief in who God is and what He expects from us who claim to be His children?
Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project travels the world defending the faith, talking about the truth of God’s Word and how we can combat the propaganda and lies being spread. Much of it comes back to the Genesis account in Scripture. Jay joins us this morning to talk about the state of biblical illiteracy infecting American Christianity and the effects it is having on young people—the future leaders of our nation and churches.Read More
The number of Christians who trust the authority of the Bible and are truly taking a stand for what they believe is rapidly decreasing. Many churches that were once stalwarts for the faith have slowly compromised, moving into obscurity, becoming either irrelevant, or in some cases actually hostile to the Bible. This doesn’t happen overnight, but rather through deception and sometimes subtle teachings that gradually erode their views on the authority and sufficiency of Scripture.
One of these slippery slopes is related to the origins account found in the book of Genesis. There’s a view that has been around for quite a long time, but has recently made a resurgence within evangelical circles. This is the idea that perhaps God didn’t actually do things as literally and simply stated in Genesis 1-2, but used more of a “natural” vs “supernatural” process (tenets of Darwinian evolution). Sadly, this is becoming increasingly popular not only in churches, but also in Christian seminaries, colleges and universities.
Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project joins the program to discuss some unbiblical ideas being considered in some Christian circles.Read More
The U.S. spend billions of dollars every year on space exploration and the search for extraterrestrial life. Hollywood produces and people watch film after film suggesting we are not alone in the universe. There’s something fascinating about the unknown. But scientists, a majority of whom are atheists, hoping to validate their theory of life on other planets, need only look to God’s Word.
Jay Seegert of the Starting Point Project is today’s guest, here to discuss our obsession with alien life, and how we answer skeptics who use this argument: “If God created man then who created God?”
In our final segment, Mike and David look at backlash a Christian Church in Canada is receiving for exercising biblical church discipline on a member who has admitted she is a lesbian.Read More
The constitutionally protected right of freedom of speech and expression used to be a pretty straight forward issue. But with the advent of social media, corporate “branding”, and a society that is easily offended it has become a much more complex issue.
This morning we look at a couple stories that point out the new reality facing us in a society that claims to value freedom of speech but is becoming increasingly intolerant of any view that opposes a humanistic, God-hating agenda.
In our first segment Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project joins us to discuss the challenges we as believers face in sharing the gospel with people currently blinded to the truth about God. Jay will discuss a common question we hear from people who doubt God’s existence: “If God created the universe, who crated God?”Read More
Jesus said, “If you love me you will obey all I command (John 14:15).” His final command was for His followers to share the gospel and make disciples. With few exceptions, most of us only talk about God when it is convenient or we ‘feel led’ to do so. Why are Christians in America not more passionate about sharing the good news with those who are perishing?
Is it shyness? A desire to please man rather than God? Not wanting to offend others? Not wanting to be seen as judgmental? Are we just too busy? Or could the deeper reason be that we are afraid of the repercussions like we see happening to our Brothers and Sisters in China, India and around the world?
Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project joins us to discuss our reasons for not sharing the gospel and how we can overcome our hesitancy and inconsistency.Read More
How many times, when a professing Christian faces a dilemma, do other Christians say “Well, just read your Bible”? That sounds like solid advice on the surface…but what if you don’t know how to read your Bible in correct context? Or what if your world view or belief about God is skewed already? Could reading the Bible in those circumstances actually do more damage than good?
Barna Research has recently published a study of Americans and our bible reading habits; and one Christian organization thinks the findings are a warning of the growth of apostasy within professing Christianity.
In our first segments we’re joined by Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project. Jay discusses some of the questions that baffle today’s scientists; questions that are easily answered if we just turn to God’s Word.Read More
Today, we are joined by Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project to discuss the importance of solid Biblical Apologetics and the rise of the religion of “Love.” We discuss the ideas behind ‘coexist’ and ‘we are the world’ philosophies. People have favorite loves and we all may be passionate about something in our lives. But what our purpose is and what we are passionate about speaks volumes about our spiritual condition and relationship with God.
In our third segment, Mike and David look at a few interesting statements made by mega-church pastor Steven Furtick; the same pastor who did his infamous “haters” video blasting fundamental Christians. This time, Furtick made some provocative– perhaps irresponsible–comments in a sermon about imperfect faith and doubting the Word of God.Read More
As our children are wrongly taught that evolution is true and not just a theory, one natural effect is they turn away from the truth of God and His Word. When atheists and humanists allegedly discredit the biblical creation account, the logical progression is young people soon believe that the Bible cannot be trusted about anything.
On a closely related subject, have you noticed how zealous liberals and atheists are about dismantling the truth about gender roles and sexuality? Why are they so committed to stopping anything that might question the ideology of gender fluidity, and why do they oppose any biological and scientific evidence that gender is assigned at birth and cannot be changed?
Today, Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project explains why the gender battle is so important to liberals and atheists. After all, if they lose the battle over gender, their evolutionary teachings could be exposed as fraudulent.Read More
In our final segment, we look at the rioting by Hamas against Israel – as well as the response of the IDF – as the Trump administration officially recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city and location of the U.S. embassy. We’ll look at the facts versus how the news is being reported in the mainstream media. Is Hamas manipulating the West?
First, we catch up with Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project to discuss the following:
How do we start a conversation with friends or neighbors that have a COEXIST bumper sticker on their car? Don’t start by telling them to “get that stupid Coexist sticker off your car!”
Does the Bible really say Christians should not judge others?
What are your plans for the summer and whatever happened to reading books? Also, what worthwhile projects can you and your family undertake that will glorify God and help you grow as Christians?Read More
For all their bluster about hating bullying the far left in our nation has become the masters of bullying and intimidation. They espouse freedom of speech and expression…as long as your views line up with their views. We are seeing a focused targeting of free speech in our nation and the primary target is bible-believing Christians who dare oppose the left’s march toward globalism and control.
Brannon Howse, founder of World View Weekend, experienced this intimidation and bullying first hand last week. Two scheduled conferences in Wisconsin were shut down when left-wing organizations conducted a coordinated effort to intimidate the venues that were to host Brannon’s conferences, forcing them to cancel the events at a tremendous cost. This morning we talk with Brannon as we see this increased intimidation and bullying against Christians.
In our first segment, Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project joins us to discuss the attacks against the Bible’s integrity and accuracy.Read More
In Matthew 12:38, the scribes and Pharisees asked Jesus for “another sign” not long after he had healed the sick and a demon-possessed man who was also blind. Jesus responded:”An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign but none will be given except the sign of the prophet Jonah”That “sign” was when Jesus would rise from the grave to prove His deity and God’s power over sin and death. Many Christians and churches today are continually seeking more signs and wonders. Let’s be clear: some are sincere believers in Christ, but their continual need for additional signs and miracles testifies to the weakness of their faith in the completed work of Jesus on the cross. We look at a critique from The Gospel Coalition regarding Bethel Church in Redding, California and its leaders Bill and and Beni Johnson, and we discuss the pitfalls of this charismatic movement. In our first segment we visit with author David Richardson to discuss content in his book Transparent – about how our deeply held assumptions can deceive us and hinder us in our walk with God.Read More
We live in the growing era of triggering, snowflakes and safe spaces. Most young people are being indoctrinated into the belief that their opinion or worldview is the only valid one and anyone who dares question them is a threat. It all goes back to Adam, who when confronted by God about his sin blamed Eve and God Himself for his poor choice.
In our final segment this morning we look at an interesting perspective by David Hoffman at the Christian Post, claiming that all the confusion in society and the church is perhaps God’s way of beginning to separate the wheat from the chaff spoken of in Matthew 3:12 by John the Baptist.
Pastor Randy White joins us this morning to look at what the Bible says about personal responsibility and how taking responsibility for our own beliefs and actions is healthy for us as Christians.Read More
Today we visit with Pastor Mike Abendroth and discuss the blood of Christ and the redeeming gospel. We touch on the meaning of Jesus Christ as the only Mediator between God and man. We touch on the abuse of grace by some as well as the Book of Hebrews, the sacrificial system, and Sabbath rest.Read More
