As Christians gather in Christian fellowship for that precious hour or two every week, it is important we take full advantage of the blessing of gathering, glorifying God, and for leaders – equipping the Body of Christ to be a bright light to a dark world.  As the secular culture around us grows darker and more evil, all the more important that we understand the spiritual battle in front of us, put on the armor of God, and do righteous battle for the truth and for souls of our family, friends and neighbors.

This morning, Mike and David share some good news about Asia Bibi from Pakistan, a strong warning from the publisher of Wisconsin Christian News, and a call to pastors to preach about the evils of abortion and rally church members to get involved for in the battle for human life in the womb.  In our first segment, Mike and David talk with Kevin Michalowski, an expert on church safety, about the importance of developing a security team at your church in the event of violence or an emergency.

Upcoming Event: NE Wisconsin believers are invited to the “House of Worship Safety and Security Symposium.” It’s February 12th and 13th from 8am – 4:30pm at Tundra Lodge in Green Bay.  Speakers include Jimmy Meeks, retured police officer and pastor, Kevin Michalowski of US Concealed Carry Magazine and Erin Stoffel Ullmer.  Cost is $75. Smell That Storm Coming – Rob Pue, Wisconsin Christian News

It appears that all the pieces of the puzzle are coming together to launch America into an all-out civil war. This couldn’t have happened this way just a few years ago. But today, I see no way to avoid it. Our nation is more divided now than it has ever been, or at least since the FIRST civil war. And it did NOT have to be this way. But nefarious, diabolical forces have been at work.

Christian woman, Asia Bibi, freed from prison in Pakistan following acquittal

Pakistan’s Supreme Court upheld the acquittal of a Christian woman who was sentenced to death for blasphemy, ruling that she is now free to leave the country where she’s facing death threats. Asia Bibi previously spent eight years on death row before being acquitted last October, now may leave Pakistan and join her daughters, who have fled to Canada where they have been given asylum.

The top court’s ruling came after radical Islamic parties filed a last-minute appeal of the acquittal following days of protests, The appeal tried to overturn the ruling and send Bibi back to prison where she would be executed for blasphemy.

Franklin Graham Tells Catholic Leaders to ‘Take a Moral Stand’ Against Cuomo Over Abortion Law

There have been discussions within the Catholic Church as to whether New York Governor Cuomo should be excommunicated from the church for signing the state’s new abortion bill. What the governor signed into law allows for the murder of unborn children up until the day of their birth. Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York told Fox News on Monday that the governor is “not going to be moved by this, so what’s the use?” I call on my friend Cardinal Dolan to take a moral stand. Whether it moves the governor’s calloused heart or not, it will have a great impact on not only the church in New York, but on the church worldwide. My question would be—if the church loses their moral voice, then what’s the use? It’s about standing for right over wrong, good over evil.
