Half Of Americans ‘Disapprove’ Of Biden Handling Of Border Crisis
Three new polls seem to indicate that Americans disapprove of how President Joe Biden is handling a growing child migrant crisis on the United States-Mexico border and, in some cases, the president’s approval is below 50% on illegal immigration despite administration efforts to downplay the issue.
Morning Consult reports that, while voters are generally bullish on Biden’s overall job performance — he is, after all, in a honeymoon period, having been in office just two months — nearly half of voters polled believe Biden is moving in the wrong direction on immigration and border control.

‘Papa John’ Says PR Company Planted Racism Allegations After He Would Not Pay $6M
A public relations firm hired to promote Papa John instead conspired to destroy its own client because the firm’s “woke” staff did not like his political views, according to allegations in a lawsuit and newly disclosed evidence that supports the claim. The lawsuit alleges that an executive threatened to “bury” Papa John unless the pizza firm paid the company $6 million.
Pizza firm founder John Schnatter was the subject of negative media coverage in 2017 for remarks related to NFL players kneeling for the national anthem. Schnatter said in an earnings call that “by not resolving the current debacle to the player and owners’ satisfaction, NFL leadership has hurt Papa John’s shareholders,” because it had depressed football viewership and the company is a major NFL advertiser. Media coverage portrayed this as being insufficiently supportive of players’ racial cause.
Biden’s Dog Involved in Another Biting Incident at White House
One of President Joe Biden’s dogs has been involved in a biting incident, weeks after causing injury to a person on White House grounds.
Major, the family’s younger dog, “nipped someone while on a walk” on Monday, Michael LaRosa, press secretary to First Lady Jill Biden told The Associated Press, adding that the dog “is still adjusting to his new surroundings.”
Wisconsin Supreme Court strikes down statewide mask mandate
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down Democratic Gov. Tony Evers’ statewide mask mandate Wednesday, stripping the governor of one of his last remaining tools to curb large-scale spread of COVID-19 as the state stands on the precipice of another surge in infections.
The conservative-leaning court ruled 4-3 that Evers violated state law by unilaterally issuing multiple emergency orders to extend the mandate for months. The court found Evers needed legislative approval to issue more orders after the initial 60-day mandate he issued in August expired.

CNN’s tepid coverage of the latest developments in the Andrew Cuomo saga continued this week, this time with no mention of the ninth accuser who has come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against the Democratic New York governor.
Sherry Vill, 55, alleged on Monday that Cuomo grabbed her face and kissed her cheeks in front of her home in 2017.
“I know the difference between an innocent gesture and a sexual one,” Vill said during a virtual press conference. “I never felt as uncomfortable as I did the day Governor Cuomo came to my house. His actions were very overly sexual, highly inappropriate and disrespectful to me and my family.”

The case started after Edward Caniglia, 68, got into an argument with his wife, Kim, in 2015 that ultimately ended up with the police seizing Caniglia’s firearms. After fighting, Kim went and stayed at a hotel and later contacted law enforcement, believing that her husband might hurt himself. Edward did not have a criminal record or any history of self-harm.
