Women Won’t Have Sex With Me So I’ll Murder Innocent People!

We first check in with Tina Marie Griffin, Counter-Culture Mom to discuss ways to protect our children from poisonous movies, games, and social media, as well as the graphic sexualization of public school children. We also touch on Boy Scout & Girl Scout Alternatives: Trail Life USA, “a Christ-centered outdoor adventure, leadership, and character development ministry.” And a parallel organization for girls, American Heritage Girls, good to know given the ideologies (such as Planned Parenthood) driving the Girl Scouts these days.

The disturbing subject of segment 2 sounds like some twisted plot in some Hollywood movie, but there is actually a movement (on-line community) that seems to justify senseless killing of innocent people because they have been rejected in their sexual advances toward women. It is known as “INCEL Movement” which stands for “involuntarily celibate,” and there have been at least 32 deaths linked to them so far. This rotten fruit is a result of pornography and the sexual revolution.

We wrap up with some good news on the pro-life front: Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds just passed the strongest pro-life bill in the country. What can we expect from the opposition regarding protests and legal challenges?

When Harry Became Sally & Hollywood Hypocrisy

Today we touch on reviews of a new book by Ryan T. Anderson titled When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment, a comprehensive look at the transgender movement sweeping our nation.  Anderson’s book is being proclaimed a “comprehensive, compassionate look” at this phenomenon sweeping our nation and changing the landscape of public education, social media and the legal system.

In the first segment, we catch up with Tina Marie Griffin, Counter Culture Mom to discuss how parents can safeguard their children against unbiblical influences of movies, television and video games.  We touch on a new television show, “Living Biblically,” and ask if it’s an attempt by CBS to give Christianity a fair shake or is there a hidden agenda here?

Other topics include the lowest Oscar ratings in history, Jimmy Kimmel insults Mike Pence, and Hollywood hypocrisy on promoting violence.

Celebrating Evil, & Listener Friday!

The City of Manitowoc, Wisconsin kicks off its Windigo Fest tonight. “Windigo” is an American Indian folklore about a cannibalistic monster and evil spirit who allegedly possesses humans and becomes monstrous. There is even a modern medical term associated with it these days called “Windigo Psychosis.” Despite protests and concerns from some citizens, the city is allowing this dark event and some are very concerned the city is opening its arms to demonic presence and influence.

And guess who is kicking off the event? Opening with “some prayers for healing from the evil violence shaking our nation,” is a local Presbyterian pastor. So pastor, you are endorsing and participating in an event that celebrates violence and spiritual possession, while praying against violence in our nation?

We also share your comments and questions from the week, including comments from students who received varying reactions to bringing their bibles to school yesterday, gun control, understanding the liberal mindset, and what to do when your children argue with you about going to church.

When Objectivity Sells out to Blatant Bias

Media has historically been referred to as the “fourth leg of our republic” because of its ability and past willingness to accurately report news and uncover hidden agendas within government. But what happens when the media decides to drive its own agenda instead of reporting news? The abortion worldview is one that is defended and promoted via most media outlets either directly or indirectly. Many feel we are seeing the results: a hard left turn toward progressive ideology and socialism in our nation.

Joining us to discuss bias and agendas within the media is Katie Yoder, Associate Culture Editor of Media Research Center. Has responsible journalism permanently left the building within mainstream media? Yes.

Discernment or Self-Destruction?

This morning on Stand Up For the Truth we read your comments and answer your questions from this week.  One central theme is discernment issues within Christianity.  Are we using proper biblical discernment or engaging in prideful witch hunts, looking to discredit others who we disagree with?  Also, several have chimed in regarding young people seeking “community” outside the confines of church. We discuss these and other topics of interest today.

First up, David covers our weekly Media watch segment, answering this question:  Why does secular media dedicate so much time to covering issues Americans say they don’t care about?

Listener Questions & Media Watch Friday

‘Where can we find a good church?’ This is among the questions we will address in our Listener Questions segment today. Other questions and comments include, “What does being an Evangelical Christian really men these days?” and, “Is Islam really an Abrahamic Faith?” Segment two begins with a comment from a listener saying she was disgusted with yesterday’s program about the persecution of Jack Phillips, suggesting we are hateful and judgmental. We will respond.

David also takes us through our Media Watch segment, helping us discern the agenda and misleading information much of secular media throws our way. What sources can be trusted and how do we cut through the noise and agenda of the media and know what is really going on?

We will conclude with our “Rightly Handling the Word” segment, discussing just how seriously true Christians should view our sins against God–and why seeing them for how bad they are actually benefits us.

Watching the Watchers and Q & A

The media is supposed to hold government accountable as well as inform and look out for all Americans, regardless of political affiliation. Some journalists today might consider themselves watchman over our government, but the truth is few actually do their jobs when a Democrat is in the White House as we witnessed during the Obama administration. Well, since Donald Trump was elected president, they’re back from with a vengeance!

We do not not defend everything the president has done or said, but what happens when the same media that is supposed to hold government to a high standard lacks the integrity, morals, and principles they are calling for? David Fiorazo exposes more media hypocrisy in our Media Watch Segment today.

We also answer your questions from this week. Some of the subjects we address include Oneness Theology, Lordship Salvation, Homosexual Christians, and The Willow Creek Leadership Summit.

Assaults on Religious Liberty and Free Speech

Europe and the Middle East have been ravaged by Islamic terrorism with attacks coming on almost a daily basis. All the while citizens exclaim, “What can the government do about it?” In Europe, under pressure from governments, social media organizations like Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Twitter are sponsoring a forum to “purge terrorists from their pages, videos and posts.” On the surface this might seem like a viable plan, but perhaps first we should learn what their definition of “terrorist” is, because some consider so-called hate speech to be terrorism. Those same people consider the teachings of God’s Word as hate speech.

Joining us this morning to discuss the attack on religious liberty and freedom of speech is Brad Dacus of Pacific Justice Institute, an organization dedicated to protecting religious liberties for Christians.

Pyrite Christianity in America

Pyrite is a mineral made up primarily of iron that looks like gold, thus it’s nickname of “fool’s gold.”  It looks like valuable gold but in reality, it is generally useless and of little to no value.

As America continues celebrating godlessness and too many members of churches fail to look significantly different than the secular culture taking over this nation. A growing number of churches and professing Christians are holding “fool’s gold” thinking it will save them when they stand before Jesus Christ as judge, only to find out what they hold is useless and even abhorrent before our Lord and Savior.

Elijah Abraham is a former Muslim and now born-again believer who travels around the world proclaiming the gospel, teaching pastors, and equipping believers who face constant threats of persecution.  He shares insights about what he has witnessed with believers here in America compared to churches in countries where persecution is often a way of life. Elijah points out the lack of maturity, discipleship, and sound doctrine in too many American churches.

Francis Chan: Discerning or Guilty by Association?

The Bible is clear that there will be many false teachers leading people astray in the final years, and many professing Christians will be part of this final apostasy.  It also tells us we should avoid anyone who teaches a gospel contrary to the Bible’s teaching.  But Paul also tells us to bear with one another as believers; standing up for truth, but also not allowing insignificant divisions to cause problems.  The problem is that we are not always clear about what is a significant or insignificant division within Christianity.Francis Chan has been on a very interesting journey over the past few years.  He resigned as pastor of the mega-church he founded and went on a personal sabbatical.  He has returned and finds himself in a growing controversy surrounding his criticism of American Christianity as well as his recent appearances at IHOP and alongside Todd White and Benny Hinn. Really? So where does Chan really stand on doctrine? Mike, David, and Crash look at the controversy and discuss the difficulties in being discerning Christians without jumping to conclusions or branding those we disagree with a “heretic” or “apostate.”ARTICLES
