Electing Leaders

In a little more than six weeks Americans will elect a new President to lead our nation for the next four years. One thing we do know is that elections have consequences. Robert Meyer of Renew America has written a thought provoking commentary on ways Christians should view this or any election and he joins us to share his thoughts. Also, Tony Campolo has five reasons why he does not consider himself an “Evangelical Christian.”

Standing in Defiance of God

News stories unthinkable a decade ago have become so commonplace they hardly raise an eyebrow.

Abortion, euthanasia, and same sex marriage: all human doctrines and actions directly opposed to God and His Word. Yet our nation and world leaders continue their march toward depravity, thumbing their noses at God and leading naive people astray, at the risk of their eternal souls.

Pastor Mike Abendroth of No Compromise Radio joins us on the program.

A Glimpse at the Future of “American” Christianity

We are often reminded there is a huge difference between Biblical Christianity and American Christianity. The church today hardly resembles Acts 2 and the early church to whom Paul wrote letters of instruction. This morning we give you a glimpse of where American Christianity may be headed as it continues to model itself after Humanist thought and allow itself to fall under the influence of secular government. We look at the government of Sweden–one of those socialist utopias progressives often point to–that has effectively neutralized true Christianity.

First, we are joined by Jan Markell of Olive Tree Views and Understanding the Times Radio to discuss the disturbing trends we see in America and the church.

Also, have you heard about this recent story in which a federal government agency is threatening to fire a Christian employee of 14 years for declining to watch an LGBT “diversity and inclusivity” training video?

Preparing for a Middle East Meltdown

The Bible tells us that one day all nations will rebel against God in a final war in the Middle East as predicted in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Breaking news: God wins the war!

The rise of ISIS and Russian intervention in the Middle East bring us one step closer to this final showdown. A coalition of nations are gathering to come against Israel just as predicted in Scripture. Are we living in the days where we could see the events leading to the victorious return of our Lord? Where is America in end times prophecy?

We’re joined by Dr. Andy Woods, author of The Middle East Meltdown: The Coming Islamic Invasion of Israel to look at current events and square them up with biblical prophecy.

Remembering 9/11, Keeping a Spiritual Perspective

On 9/11/2001, radical Islamic terrorists hijacked four jet planes with the intent of dealing a devastating blow to our nation. More than 3,000 people died and our nation was changed in a profound way. This Sunday marks the fifteenth anniversary of this horrendous tragedy.

Joining us to discuss Islam, the Quran, and how Christians should respond to the very real threat of Muslim terrorism is a former Muslim, now born-again believer, Elijah Abraham.

Navigating Difficult Waters

As hard as I have looked, I have yet to find a verse where Jesus tells us life would be easy as His disciple. Quite the contrary, we are warned that we would be the scorn of the world and seen as foreigners and aliens to those who choose the ways of the world. Looking at the latest news on our unstable economy as well as the abortion, sexuality, and health care fronts, all indicators seem to point to just how our beliefs as Christians contradict the humanist values of this fallen world. Doug Wakefield of Best Minds Inc. joins us in the first segment to look at the storm clouds forming on the economic front.

The Continuing March to Globalism

The Bible is clear on what lies ahead: more people and nations will be gathering in defiance to God and His Word. And for centuries every generation has wondered if theirs would be the one to see the return of the Lord. World events are coming together at breakneck speed.

So what is different about the times we live in? Are there unmistakable signs of the times that the world is about to unite in rebellion against God, ultimately leading to the return of Jesus Christ? Jesus said we would not know the exact day of His return, but that we could discern the season of it by observing carefully.

Joining us this morning is a man who has studied globalism and has written extensively about the coming one world government and religion–Gary Kah.

Twisting Tolerance, Pulpit Freedom, and Political Correctness

The Left uses the Johnson Amendment to bully Christian pastors and groups with threats of losing their nonprofit status should they dare talk about the Bible as it relates to cultural, political, fiscal, and social issues, which all fall under the category of moral issues. We have grown up with a generation of churchgoers that believe it is illegal for their pastor to address candidates and elections in light of Scripture or church doctrine when there is no valid justification for believing that.

The Prophetic Invasion and Survival of Israel

Host David Fiorazo is joined by Dr. Andy Woods.

For those who live in America, it can be challenging to slow down enough to maintain an eternal perspective and recognize signs of the end times all around us. There are rebellious haters of God, natural disasters, wars, and rumors of wars – in addition to the growing persecution of Christians worldwide. Israel however, is also a major focus of end times prophecy and it is wise to support her because we know those nations are blessed who bless Israel.

We need to pay attention to our volatile times as surrounding nations come against Israel. To be sure, God is not pacing up in Heaven or wringing His hands. These things must happen before the return of Jesus Christ.

Three major things happen when we understand Bible prophecy better: Our faith is strengthened, our hope in Christ is encouraged by the fulfillment of prophecy, and we are more excited to tell others about the truth!

We live in one of the most interesting time periods of history. The Lord seems to be setting the stage for His return as never before. One of these major stage-setting trends that we are currently seeing is the rise of a coalition of nations that harbors a hostile intent toward Israel. No matter which presidential administration comes into office in this nation and no matter how the calendar turns, this is an issue that does not seem to go away.

Removing Truth and Christ from Culture

Target corporation is spending $20 million to add more bathrooms due to the corporation’s transgender policy. Gender confusion is being promoted on prime time television, in commercials, by the White House, and yes, in public schools.

Many in the U.S. government have been corrupted, and the lack of accountability has never been higher. Also looming is the increased threat of losing more religious freedom.

The speed in which America has shifted away from Christianity has accelerated to the point many Christians are checking out of culture rather than addressing the issues with God’s love and the truth of His Word. When people of faith back down and are silent, the result is lots of rotten fruit in the form or immorality, debauchery, and of course, moral relativism.

Today’s guest, Dr. Alex McFarland is a Christian worldview and culture expert and author of 17 books. His latest book came out this summer, Stand Strong America: Courage, Freedom and Hope for Tomorrow.

Should Christians Expect to be Treated Fairly?

Every parent of a little child has heard it from their children when the child has to do something he doesn’t want to do: “That’s not fair!” Our response usually is “Who said life was fair?”

Jesus warned us the world would hate us because it hated Him. As we see Christian liberties stripped while our government goes out of its way to protect others, many people of faith are calling foul. But should we expect fair treatment from a culture, government, or a world that hates God?

First we are joined by Jay Seegert of the Creation Education Center to discuss how we can prove the truth of the Bible to atheists and evolutionists. We can effectively share evidence from science and Scripture with them while asking them questions about their claims.
